Nice find on this offer, there isnt any date you have to register before to qualify for the offer is there? Well obvioulsy you cant register after the 8th...

I currently have abou 350 in my poker account so hopefully with some work on this I can boost it near enough to the amount needed then top it up with a credit card payment if needs be....

I actually asked this question on live chat and I wouldn't risk leaving it too late. They have no set date to end the offer and it could end today if they want. For all we know they might have a limit on the amount of people taking up the offer.

    How does Moneybookers work?
Is there any comeback with them (and I'm only asking) if something does go wrong?

Jesus, you're paranoid. :) Seriously, what can go wrong? There is no way Mansion are going to pull a fast one.

If you're going to set up a moneybookers account you'll need to have online banking as they'll charge a random verification fee onto your CC between €0.01-2.99. You'll have to check your statement online and enter the 3 digit fee in your moneybookers account. You can always wait for a statement in the post but the offer will be closed by then.

Checked with them today, if you want to deposit by Credit Card the limit is 250 GBP or 350 Euro but you can use multiple cards (if you have them) to bring the total up to 850 Euro.
Winnings/Stake will be credited back to Visa but not Mastercard, you have to get a bank transfer.

    Hey,
Could I use a bank transfer to fund the Mansion account with €850?
Do you think there'd be any foreign exchange charges?
Probably going to go for it myself!

When making a bank transfer to your account please provide your bank with your last name and MANSION account number as a reference. If this information is not provided there may be a significant delay in the processing of your deposit. Also please ensure that you send funds in the same currency as your MANSION account profile.
The MANSION Client Bank Account details are:

Transfers in UK Pounds Sterling (GBP)
Account Name: MANSION (Gibraltar) Ltd - Client Account
    Bank: NatWest
    PO Box 34
    15 Bishopsgate
    London EC2P 2AP
    Sort Code: 50-00-00
    Account #: 20569289
Reference: "Your last name" & "MANSION account number"

    Transfers in all other currencies
Account Name: MANSION (Gibraltar) Ltd - Client Account
    Bank: NatWest
    PO Box 34
    15 Bishopsgate

Ive a mastercard, will i lose money on this transfer thing or does it just mean more hassle?

I want to sign up for this bet but am a gambling retard/newbie. Can someone give me a little guide to go about this. Ive a little list outlined below, perhaps ye would be so kind as to fill in some blanks or correct my mistakes.

1 - Set up and register account
    2 - Pay E350 by my mastercard
3 - Pay the rest by money transfer
4 - Where does moneybookers come into this

Hmmm, as ye can see im a newbie. I need a guide :D

Depositing the €350 with your mastercard is fine, as is deposting the other €500 through the bank. A bank transfer would probably take about a week though, there's no guarantee that this promotion will still be running by then.

You can set up a moneybookers account and deposit the €850 to that account from your mastercard. You can then deposit that €850 straight into mansion from moneybookers. The thing with that though is you'll have to verify your moneybookers account as I described earlier so you'll need online banking to get it verified immediately.

If you want to make a sure bet of it I've found Pinnacle offering odds of 1.787 for Miami +5.5.

Put the €850 on Pittsburgh -4.5 at 1.91 with Mansion.
Put €435 on Miami +5.5 at 1.787 with Pinnacle.
    Total bet: €1,285

If Pittsburgh win you get €1623 back which is a profit of €338.
If Miami win you get €777 from that plus your €850 back. A total of €1627 which means a profit of €342.

The odds always change on Pinnacle so that means your bet amount will vary. Either calculate it yourself or just post the odds and ask how much to put on.

I just realised that the handicap is 4.5pts, I forgot it has originally been 5pts so that's obviously better.

My heads in a bit of a mess but could someone tell me if you back Miami +4.5 and Pittsburg -4.5pts it's a sure bet? Obviously it is?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,622 ✭✭✭✭okidoki987

Refreshed it and it looks okay now but when I'm filling the form out it says
    referral code
Do I fill anything in here?

So this means that if Pittsburg win or lose by 4 points or less you win the first bet.
If Miami win by 5 points or more you win the second bet.

What would happen if the game finished a draw? Does that mean you win the first bet?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,013 ✭✭✭✭eirebhoy

Right, so with the handicap on Mansion changing without me copping on it makes things even better.

Put the €850 on Pittsburgh -4.5 at 1.91 with Mansion.
Put €410 on Miami +4.5 at 1.901 with Pinnacle.
    Total bet: €1,260

If Pittsburgh win you get €1623 back which is a profit of €363.
If Miami win you get €780 from that plus your €850 back. A total of €1630 which means a profit of €370.

okidoki987 - just leave referral code blank.
    jester77 wrote:

My head was in knots there but back to normal now. :) It's handicap betting. If you back Miami at +4.5pts it means they have a 4pt advantage. If the match is a draw then technically Miami win by 4 pts on the handicap. If Pittsburgh win by 5 pts then they've beaten the handicap. The reason it's the half a pt is there is so it can't be a draw.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,622 ✭✭✭✭okidoki987

1/2 points on spreads were brought in so that there were only 2 possible outcomes everytime i.e. no draws.
That's why they are normally 9/10 or if you're unlucky 4/5 each of two.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,262 ✭✭✭✭jester77

Sorry for what might be a dumb question but how does one place a bet on Miami +4.5? Looking at the Pinnacle sight and really confused

Edit: Ah, ok, logged in and it made sense!

You'll have to register to change the line. The odds are just going to keep going down so I'd advise you get it on now. atm they're 1.862.

I thought i could just put on my E850 and stand to win E773 on top of getting my E850 back.
Whats all this latest talk of putting on 2 different bets and only coming out with a profit of E350-ish instead of the original E773 i thought i could win?

You can turn it into a "sure bet" which means you win over €350 no matter what the result (ie. You put 2 bets on today and you're guaranteed a certain amount in your bank account after the match). You'll have to read my first post on it again. :)

Can I just say thanks to all those who used my affliate link as I've earnt myself a nice little bit of free money. :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,060 ✭✭✭Rudolph Claus

My creditcard limit is E600, i assume 600 a month, does that mean ill be snookered if i try to spend E850 in the 1 month. I can ring up and increase my limit tomorrow maybe.

Regarding the sure bet the max you can win is around E350, yeah?
Whereas if i do the non sure bet i could win E773 or breakeven?

Nice one, just out of curiousity how much do you get for each one of us signing up?? :D

Damn odds keep decreasing, hope my money goes onto my moneybookers a/c tomorrow. Any idea how long it takes for cash to transfer? I did a bank transfer from my AIB to their BOI a/c this evening??

    Correct
Just depends on whether you want to break even or win 773
    or guarantee yourself 350 roughly.

It's the same as somebody saying to you
    here's 350 cash
Do you want to go double or quits with it or take the cash.

Dolphins are 2.36 to win outright on betfair now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,262 ✭✭✭✭jester77

How good are your maths here, trying to figure out how much to put on Pinnacle?

What is x here and how do you calculate it :o

    x * 1.862 = 370 + x

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,622 ✭✭✭✭okidoki987

Dolphins are 2.36 to win outright on betfair now.

    That's no hedge.
You could lose that bet and only get your money back from the mansion bet.
You need to back Miami +4.5 or better for an almost fully hedged book.

True enough. It might be worth taking the risk though.

Jester and to the people who are unsure if they should make it a sure bet I'd probaly wait until closer to the game before deciding. Alot of things can change. Also, keep an eye out of the injuries for both teams as it gets closer.

    x * 1.862 = 370 + x
If you backed Pittsburgh with mansion you win €773 from the €850 stake. To win €773 at odds of 1.862 you'd need to bet €415 (773/1.862). Therefore, if Pittsburgh win by 5 you get 773 plus your 850 stake (with Mansion). If they fail to win by you get 773 (with Pinnacle) plus your 850 cashback with mansion.

Current Miami +4.5 odds with Pinnacle are 1.885. Work it out yourself and you'll see there isn't much in the difference in terms of how much you need to put on.
    jester77 wrote:

The person has to deposit before I get any money. Affliate's are all done in GBP£ for some reason. When my affliate deposits at least £20 I get £35. Whenever they use the Sportsbook, Sports Exchange, Poker or Casino for the 1st time I get £10 for each one. Which means I could easily make £75 per person. Then I get 30% of their casino and sportsbook net wins.

A lot of people now are offering people free money to open an account with as the affliate money means they'll make a profit. For example, if I gave you £20 through Neteller to open an account with Mansion with. You get a free £20 bet and I make a £25 profit straight away (if they place the bet that is).
atm since I opened this thread and a thread on a Celtic forum I've got €356 in my affliate account. :)

btw - Could someone actually explain what net wins is? /deleted rest of paragraph to avoid embarassment.
