That, Twin Peaks and Six Feet Under are probably my top three.

Oh, god. Few shows induced the rage in me that Six Feet Under did. I made it through the first season, but my pure loathing for every single person on that show (except maybe Claire) made watching impossible. I kept hearing about interesting plot developments, so I saw bits and pieces of the next 4 years, but every time I tried to get back into it I was reminded of why I stopped watching in the first place.
    good tv = lost

And again, with the rage-inspiring shows where I hate every single one of them (here, Sayid is the exception) and pray every week for their slow and painful deaths. I nearly threw the remote through the TV after watching the finale on Monday. The difference is, I can't stop watching now, because there are just too many questions I want answered. I'm not sure if that's "good" TV so much as cynical and exploitative, but hey, it's working, so fair play to them.

What it is J.J. Abrams & Co. planning for a show to last one series, only to have it renewed, then planning to end it that series only to have it renewed and repeat said cycle ad infinitum. Lost is being propelled by ABC's Advertising Department. Plots are being concocted simply to keep the revenue rolling in which puts a lot of pressure on Abrams. And, as you know Niall, his shows have a wee habit of getting a tad crazy and convoluted...

My favourite anime film has to be Princess Mononoke. Absolutely fantastic.
You should try getting your hands on Howl's Moving Castle, if you haven't already. It's a bit lighter and 'easier' than Princess Mononoke but, personally, I prefer it.

    Both great shows anyway.

I tried but it was a wee bit expensive for my tastes. I have seen Spirited Away though and was absolutely enthralled by it. I didn't even make a fresh cup of tea during it such was my level of enthrallment. God bless Studio Ghibli is all I will say.

One of the little things I like about Lost is the fact that all the characters are flawed. You can take every single character and say, he's a wanker because: . I think this is refreshing because most programmes I seem to watch seem to have child like goodie/baddie philosophy about character developement.

    Prison break anyone?

Ah television and its flawed ability for character development. The worst is when they try to make the good character more "frail and human". I know! They can shoplift! Or cut themselves! Or...or... Bleugh.

In other news, watching some Invader Zim right now. Jhonen Vasquez I love you. Have my babies.

Heh, i haven't watched zim in so long. also, goddamn sky one have stopped showing angel at 2o'clock every day. now i'm watching absolute tripe instead...

Frasier is on Paramount now but someone who enjoys watching Angel couldn't possibly enjoy its nuances :p

also don't have paramount :/ watching "the 10th kingdom" - man this was a terrible series.

What? The 10th Kingdom is on TV again? Why wasn't I informed of this? That was an excellent series. Who doesn't love fairytales, evil wolves and hallucinogenic mushrooms that sing Procol Harum songs to you? :D It was highly original and certainly far superior to any fantasy mini-series done since (aaagghh Jack & The Beanstalk).

I was also a massive fan of Angel. Have they taken it off at two o' clock and replaced it with The 10th Kingdom? I think we should have both. There seems to be a disturbing trend at Sky One for replacing one good series with another and giving too much air time to the dross. Take off Buffy. Angel is better. They were showing Season 6 of Buffy anyway. One of the worst things I have ever seen on television. In Angel, I though that y the end Wesley had become the coolest character. He even had Wolverine like stakes. Yay! Violence!

They have a copy of Howl's Moving Castle in Xtra Vision Rathfarnham, if you care enough to make the trek out that far.

Which I appreciate, but all the same, there's only so long you can sustain a show where every single character is so much of an asshole that they become unwatchable.
    I like frasier and angel.

Ditto. Though I hated later Frasier, and some of later Angel was pretty crap. But last I saw, they were on early season 4 Angel, which was decent.

    In no particular order:

I want people to return my phonecalls.
    I'm too hot.
    My hair feels silly.
This keyboard is really too far away.
Why don't post-its stay stuck to my computer?
    Wonder what's for dinner?
That kid has weird hair. Weirder than mine.

Holy crap it's warm in here......
When is Mr. Curry going to ring me to go drinking?
Why do I have a cold in July?
And can I sub-contract someone to clear up the mess that is my brain?

Would be a few of the examples. Oh! And... I want that 750ml bottle of Pepsi in the fridge to hurry up and get cold so it's drinkable.

Possibly. Except for the fact that I don't smoke. Perhaps the staying up until 4 a.m., waking up at 9 a.m., drinking last weeknd until 5 a.m. and crashing on a floor could have something to do with it? Unlikely I know, but there is a slight chance....

    Why's my liver still sore?
    Meteor's national coverage sucks.
When will the toshiba MK4007GAL be available to the general public?
murdering the demons and replacing them with something worse and less apologetic.
Beating noam chomski to death with his own sense of self importance.
Is there any way to get destroyed without affecting life expectancy?
That shelly the republican thing has to be a spoof.
    Speeding doesn't kill, you fools.

That sums up the last month or so. Well, the bits that won't get me into trouble.
