I think you'll find that Vectra, myself, Tallus, and the other lads might miss a post once in a while, but never for long.
The answers are never long in coming :-)

    Dont worry bud.
I "scour" these and other forums on a regular basis.. ( Like every 10 minutes):D

    OK
If it is any deciding factor for you.
This is What I want to do to my Revo over the coming weeks.
I will not be doing an exact copy but certainly gonna take some ideas from it.

On my agenda is a full set of Blue RPM arms along with Blue RPM rear Bumper and a Nice Shiny Alloy front Skidplate incorporating a nice "fiddly thing on the front"
    Rear Wing Like this one.
Havent decided on a bodyshell yet.
I do like the wheels/Tyres on this one.

    Ah well.

Out with the Credit card again shortly..:o

what sort of price are we looking at for this buggy and will parts be available ....
Did I not answer that one? Missed it.
Parts are arriving in a couple of days - the purpose of endurance testing was to establish what parts are required. Most cars only have a couple of parts that break, you know. Most parts never break. But the same bits break again in more accidents later.
It's the same with full size automobiles. Time shows which is the weakest part (weakest link in chain of parts), then the dealers stock up on the important bits, but only have one or two of the other bits.

It is a different part for each type of car.

Cost of the Specter - I will get plenty change out of €400 on Monday. Still some negotiations to take place, since I might not need the radio transmitter that comes with it - and also don't need the fuel, glowstart & all the stuff that goes in a startup outfit.

Would you not be better off to keep those and sell them on to some poor misfortunae soul here and work out better ?

I was wondering what to do about that. I've got to decide tomorrow.

    I noticed it was 40Mhz.
what make is it and is it stick or wheel transmitter?

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators Posts: 3,455 Mod ✭✭✭✭coolwings

Acoms wheel. I would prefer to use twin stick - probably will.
Thats part of the reason to not take the Tx with it.
The Acoms receiver is quite nice.

Vectra, is that the revo from misbehavin rc, that chap is always on the Traxxas forums.

Just the transmitter (no rx or servos) ? Are you interested? How does €20 sound?

Would have to be Trannie and receiver/crystals.;)

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators Posts: 3,455 Mod ✭✭✭✭coolwings

    Tell you what.
Tomorrow I'll decide about the radio I'm planning to use.
If the other trannie has it's own rx I'll drop you a PM, and you let me know if you want the wheel tx/rx/xtals.
I can swop as long as it's new, but if used it's mine, of course. So right now my options are flexible.

Well to be honest you could get a decent charger quite cheap that will charge your battery in about 40 mins. and would be cheap enough
    BMI Ultrapeak £29

Yeah MSUK is down at the minute.:(

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,149 ✭✭✭BFassassin

If its the 3.3 your after you dont need a seperate charger for the ez start battery, it comes with it already, you just connect it up with the charger thats included;)

I dont think it is a 3.3 as it would exceed his credit limit. ;)

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,149 ✭✭✭BFassassin

yep its the 2.5 that im getting and i might have to leave the charger for another while as it would bring me very close to the limt. on my first purchase:eek:

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,248 ✭✭✭Plug

I though E600 was your budget. I wrote a post a page or 2 back saying that the revo was E580 including customs and postage, it,s probly gone down now becouse the euro and doller are doing well in terms of value:)

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,149 ✭✭✭BFassassin

€600 is my limit but im getting the revo, glow plug, battery and maybe a charger all of modelsport and it is coming real close to the limit
