yeah, but how can you really do anything you couldn't do already. You could have sent them an e mail or chatted on msn so why's bebo so different?

I find it pretty useful - have a couple of friends travelling around the world for a year. They use it to upload their photos, log their travel stories, etc.

I subscribed to Bebo ages ago and was only reminded of it when a friend asked me to join. Now I use it all the time. I was in the states for the summer and could keep everyone up to date with pictures. Now I use it to keep in touch with all the people I met there.

Haven't had any real spam problems. The only problem I have now is trying to get any work done!

I started getting into in the last few days.Never really realised what you could do on it;just left my contact details on it like last March and never went near it.
But saw the other day that mates from Secondary school have pictures up and quizzes et cetera.The quizzes are a bit of craic to break up the day in work

The amount of people I've overheard chatting about BEBO this week has been quite scary! :eek:

I'd definitely prefer BEBO to MySpace even though the novelty of it wears off after a couple of months. Lots more amusing features on it than MySpace but the good thing about MySpace is that you can design your page yourself where I don't think you can do that on BEBO (unless I'm wrong)

oh dear lord.
i checked out that bebo crap the other day. my cousin got a letter from the school with something about cyber bullying on bebo in it and was worried because her son uses it. i checked out his page and the pages of his friends and saw some of the most retarded crap i have ever seen.
christ, it's worse that a yahoo chat room.
as for the spelling on it. you have students talking about how they got an "A" in english. have standards dropped since i left school 15 years ago? 'r u gng to nmnmnm tngt?' what the fuck is that all about?

Bebo is good only because there's so many people on it, I dont use it as one of those internet chats thing where you talk to random people from all over the world, I use it because so many of my actual friends are on it and its a great way to keep in touch with people. So i dont see a problem with it.

and it seems like fun, but I don't know anyone on there, really. And it seems like everyone on bebo wants to be friends with people they already know, so they're not looking to make new friends. All of my friends are myspacers. I like some of the options though, like the drawing board. It might be enough to keep me interested for a while.

imo i think they'll wait til they have millions and millions of members that use their service so regularly and have built up really good homepages and friends lists... then start going on about all the work they do in maintaining the site etc etc and say that they have to introduce a small subscription fee of say oh maybe 2.99 starting off. people with so much effort gone into bebo wont want to lose access to the lot and will pay the fee and bebo get rich real quick.
