Unless Bertie is a member of Boards, thats a lot of twat !

Should have taken it to feedback.

    Yes, from AH recently.

He didn't ask you to apologise, he just asked you to PM him to unban you which is standard practise.

I see your point, but here's how I see it. Standard practice if I'd done something worthy of a ban, which I hadn't. In my view, in a day when people can say ar$e, sh1te and bullsh1t on national daytime radio (Moncrieff, Neil Francis and Gerry Ryan in case anyone asks), to be banned for calling the country's most high profile and arguably most controversial political/celebrity individual a "twat", and who was not identified as being another poster on "boards.ie" is petty, inaccurate and wrong. Even PMing the mod for readmittance to the Politics board would be an admission of some sort of guilt on my behalf. I have better things to do with my time (um...like post here:o)than argue the toss(er) with someone who felt it necessary to report me for that. Ergo: me saying they can kiss my left one.

Was banned form soccer with my first ever post there. Referred to Man United as 'The Scum'. I think I had a fair point.
If I wasn't a mod and didn't need access to the soccer forum to move posts there, I'd probably have done the same thing.

Nobody is asking you to apologise or admit guilt or anything else.
Like AH, a lot of people are banned from Politics.
It's hard to remember who you banned and when their ban is up.
This is why we ask people to PM us when the ban is up.
We're only asking you to remind us to unban you. That's all.

Either you got ecksor on a good day* or is was someone else who banned you.
People have been permanently banned for acting the bollix in the Mustard forum.
    No. I'm not joking.

Yes indeed, banned twice in short order from paranormal (I had to look up the name of the forum, I'd forgotten it). The first time the mod apologised and unbanned me after a fairly light hearted thread in feedback, no harm no foul.

The second time was a weeks ban apparently for "personal abuse", where the mod in question was entirely unable to tell me where and to who I had been abusive.

Now in fairness I was pulling the piss a bit with the discussion (I'd challenge any rational human being not to have), but I stayed well within the charter. Twice was enough for me, I've no patience with trigger happy mods, and I decided paranormal would have to soldier on without the benefit of my contributions, never bothered to PM to get the ban lifted. I'm sure the denizens of that corner of the web are dismayed.

Oooh, didn't know that. Where's that brand-spanking new ban-hammer of mine? Ah, here it is.....

    Yeah.

The bonus is worked out as a percentage of your Mod Salary.

The Mod Salary increases year-on-year, as does the ban-bonus.

Also, the ban bonus increases after each ban.

    So.

Ban Bonus = X%Mod Salary + Yearly Ban Bonus Increment + y (where y = current ban number)

Yeah, that's because you get more bans out of AH.

I mean the Rugger crowd are hardly the rowdiest are they? Or my own team, I'd hardly be banning them.

I don't even know where the News&Media forum is.
