Too big for me and probably too nice for my intended purpose (winter hack). Looks like a really good deal that you are offering there though.

Hand me the camera and watch how a pro does it:

"Jesus your gorgeous, have you ever considered modeling?"

Boom! Take that to the Kodak printer and get a copy for me and each of my friends!

Islabike Beinn 20 Small, new arrival for Lumen Jnr.

8.9kg as pictured. Standard spec (7sp SRAM grip shift, single chainring) except for the Conti Sport Contacts and mudguards.

First spin today went pretty well. The downshift is a bit hard for his puny little wrists, but gears came in useful for when he's knackered.

I'm hoping the UCI will give him an exemption for the illegal saddle position on morphological grounds.

Do you have pics? I assume you put into practice the method outlined to me to capture "the friends" photo...

I know it's already appeared here but I've put new wheels on her and she looks as sexy as a DirkVoodoo podium girl (assuming that's not the podium at Shelbourne Park). The wheels I got from Williams Cycling and I've tested them now and really like them but they still have to get tested in anger. They're 58mm deep, weigh about 1.6kg and they cost €800ish for the pair with skewers, brake blocks and a few bidons. I didn't get stung for customs, these come from the US. Emails passed back and forth between Keith Williams and myself before hand and his responses were swift. Upon doing my research, I found that the wheels were getting fantastic reviews, including a recommendation from CheGedara. What it seems like Williams is doing is getting Asian wheels and sticking his name on them, so no different from a lot of manufacturers then. Once they were ordered it took them about five working days to get here, which it states on the site. They were well boxed and true. The tubes I got from the Cycle Super Store Wednesday deal thankfully had long valves as I discovered they are so much easier to fill with a valve adapter than a valve extender.

I've done a couple of cycles with them and seem to be going a wee bit quicker, it took me a couple of days to find my valve adapter to get them properly pumped so I've been on them once fully inflated and did 160km at an average of 26.3kph which would be above normal for me at that distance. Loving them so far, really impressed but we'll see how I feel about them after a race or sportive but I think I'm going to be very satisfied.

    29042011036.jpg?t=1304113245
    29042011037.jpg?t=1304113265

I'm not sure if it's clear in the photos but I've got quite a clean cassette (chain is mingin though). When I did the sportive in England I was given a product called Purple Harrys Bike Floss. It's basically a pipe cleaner, so I think I'm going to go to my nearest arts and crafts shop next week and pick up a load of pipe cleaners as it'll probably be cheaper than Purple Harry.

Stopped off for lunch in Gorey the other day, diet is very important, my body is a temple and all that :D
