Lookin good Capt'n. I'm looking forward to hearing those bad boys in action. I see you've taken my recommendation and purchased an edge 500, and finally changed that manky bar tape :p

As it happens weighing scales and bike are beside me so it's 7.6kg.

The Wheels look great CaptainH...I also took the plunge and bought a pair of the 20mm Carbon Clinchers from Williams, total impulse buy as the weight limit is 77kg and I'm 73.5 :)....but in my defence they are a claimed weight of 1260G, who can argue with that!

Just an item of beauty, would be very difficult to find a frame worth mounting those components on also keeping the timeline in context.

surely you don't actually build it up, you just put it near the frame you might consider building it up with in your gallery

Twould be criminal to put that groupset on a bike now!

But it reminds me of the James May show on making a trainset, where he went to an auction and bought some pristine NOS, with packaging intact.
He promptly removed the 'toy' from the packaging and handed it to the lady behind the counter and asked her to dispose of it in her bin.
May was ridiculing the old boys with their pristine toy train sets that would never be used, handled, or used as toys!

I have a perfect frame for that, a 1983ish Mercian -twould go very nicely :)
