Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi there,

Having a problem with the WunderRadio app. When I try to access the list of stations I get an "unable to connect. Touch to retry" message. However when I try to run the app on my iPod Touch the stations come up and plays no bother. Both devices are connected to the same WiFi network with the exact same settings.

The iPhone is running the 3.1.2 firmware while the iPod has 3.0. Could this be the problem?

Just got a free App from Cydia named "LastApp"

It's exactly what the iPhone is missing.
Are you fed up with having to close one App to go back to the last one you had open , then back again ?
(e.g) You are in Safari but wanna open your mail quickly , means you have you close Safari , open mail , close mail , back into Safari.:(

Well "LastApp" will allow to quickly toggle between 2 of the last Apps open , or set certain buttons or motions (great addition) to toggle between certain Apps.

I have set it up so if I'm in Safari I quickly shake my device and it will open my mail , another shake and I'm back into Safari . :)

it's bacically CTRL ALT for your phone :)

Well worth the 0c price .

I find Backgrounder & Insomnia work really well for that... you can have multiple apps open at once, drains the battery & slows everything down but it does work... great for social networking or something like skype...

I got the Empire movie guide app too, but was a bit disappointed with it, some of the movies I was looking up didn't appear in App, rotten tomatoes and IMDb are much better, even though I do love empire will stick to the mag instead of the app for now

    Guys

A long shot but I'm looking for a way to lock individual apps. Basically I know i can password lock my phone but my nephews love messing with my phone for games and that which is fine but I wouldn't want them opening up my Ping or texts seeing things from my pals!!

I'm normal 3gs and probably chancing my arm here!

got it, and very dissapointed - it seems to only have about half the articles as in the print or web version - it's not good enough compared to the guardian app which has oodles of reading every day

Yeah, it's crap. No way should they be charging for it. And given that they've returned to the subscription model, I doubt they'll improve it.

    +1 the Guardian. Fantastic app.

Thanks, I'll stick with the Guardian for the time being so.

Think there was another one called "yearbook yourself" too. This is hilarious... if theres a few pints involved when you use it on your mates prepare for people to start wetting themselves!!

What app has scores from the widest range of sports? I want it for checking sporting results for bets...
I have livescore (very good), Sky Sports (slow to load).
I'm looking for one that'll give as many sports as possible- soccer, rugby, F1, rugby, horse racing, boxing etc.

    thanks,
    Pa.

I like dessid, it does what it's supposed to do. I'm certainly glad I got it. It's got me online in Dublin Airport (for free), a pub in Westport, my granny's house and so on. You pick up quite a few signals in Dublin city centre too.

I've managed to do this, but still can't buy stuff from the itunes store as whenever I go to pay it just asks for billing info which I fill in and nothing happens. I have tried CC and PayPal. Can anyone tell me what I can do to purchase from the US store?

Opera Mini was released yesterday. Can't see the point myself, as Safari does me fine, but some may prefer it.

Also, Bird Strike is free today/yesterday. Very similar to Doodle Jump but is great fun.

Unfotunately, this is where it gets messy. You'd need either a Credit Card based in the US (with a US address), or you'd need to be able to get your hands on an iTunes card from the US (these are hard to get, unless you have friends / family over in the States - you used to be able to buy online, but there was a massive fraud problem and Apple tightened controls).

You can download as many free Apps as you like, it shouldn't ask for CC info.

Dont go straight to create an account. Go to download a free app on iTunes (US Region of course) without an account. It will then prompt you to create one> Create one at this point and click on No Payment.

I've bought a couple of apps for my iPhone, -iTreadmill and iMapMyWalk. I wanted a pedometer style app so I got iTreadmill. It seems decent enough although I'm not 100% convinced about the accuracy of the distances it says I've walked. Especially as yesterday I bought iMapMyWalk and walked the same route home and the distance was less and pretty much matches what the clock says on the car when I clocked the distance.

The iMapMyWalk shows you the route you've walked on a map, the distance, how long it took, calories burned. Apparently you can also take pics on your walk and it uploads them to a website so you can see the route you walked and the pics you took. I haven't tried that aspect out yet though.
