What appears to be a polish pm63, something that turns up here fairly regularly for some reason

They were designed in soviet era Poland. Ended up in use by many communist states/armies in various wars. Arab states too V Israel. Their popularity over here stems from the rate of fire and ability to conceal for anyone that was interested in guerilla war tactics in the 70s and 80s, more modernly drug gangs. Their spray and pray style and numbers made and where they were used makes them relatively cheap for anyone motivated to acquire one.

A hideous firearm, mostly going to appear in the hands of mal-intended drug fuelled person here nowadays.

No I doubt it's because of rate of fire etc , simple fact of the matter is criminals get what they can , and it's not a 9x19 it's a 9x18 so that's harder to find than standard 9x19
I'm assuming some were squirreled away during the fall of the Soviet Union and then sold on for profit

And I'm sure all that were here in the 70s and 80s were decommissioned 🀔

There iS a semi-auto version available too.
Which has a tendency thru "bad engineering of parts" to go occasionally, absolutely, unintentionally,100% accidentally to full auto;) according to my Polish sources.

I've had the opportunity to play around with a PM-63 in the past, and honestly it is not a comfortable firearm.

Quite heavy for it's size, stock feel was pretty dire when extended and just felt like a lump when folded.

Recoil wasn't bad(9x18 from a lump of steel, shocker there), and quite controllable too.

For it's intended purpose it is a decent firearm, but I wouldn't be trying to get a semi one for target shooting unless you wanted a cheap plinker.

Upside - cheap as chips to buy, spare parts are are readily available, and cheap to shoot assuming you can get a steady source of 9x18, or pay through the nose for the much rarer 9x19 :D

Never forget, the end goal is zero firearms of any type.

Along with a black Zoraki 918 blank firer, and what look like a Rohm/Zoraki chromed .380 blank firing revolver.

I agree on the RAK and the 918 - reckon the revolver could be a Ruger SP101 though because of the cylinder release -

Ruger make good stuff. I wonder will they get Marlin back in good order now that they have bought them ?

So someone was really trying to raise the standard of illegal firearms in Ireland...

That one probably has an interesting provenance.

It looks like it has a mag loaded and it’s certainly cocked! I wonder when they took the photo?

Wow! I think I said it before but sometimes ya see something and would love to know it’s story.

Probably at the scene of the arrest, given its "readiness".

The state of it. Do any crims actually take care of their guns?

I think to the extent that they still work, not so much beyond that.

Rare enough to see a seized firearm with no surface rust on it.

Mind you, why bother when you can get another with your next drugs shipment

    Maybe not another Baer though...

Condition 1 readiness."Cocked and locked" Hammer cocked, safety on.
Target sights,Baer, would have been a pretty expensive,[albeit questionable reliance] model1911 to someone somewhere.:(

Reminds me of the complete gobshine in the UK, that robbed a pair of Purdeys from a stately house, sawed the barrels off and used one to rob a post office of a few hundred pounds. The detectives when they caught him took much glee in telling the fool that the guns were worth north of 50k
