Is this the first race with three DRS zones or have they all had this many?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,625 ✭✭✭Charlie-Bravo

From Wiki: A third DRS zone was added during 2018 and 2019 seasons in Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Austria, Singapore and Mexico.

It goes to show that needing so many DRS zones means it will be difficult to overtake without it.

I suspect there will be a nail after a lacklustre quali and another after a lacklustre race and ther there are 2 more races to come. There is no shortage of nails for that poor fella’s coffin. And he’s not all that bad. Certainly around as good as Kvyat.

Really looking forward to seeing who they pick to replace him. Is it still between Perez and Hulk?

Albon made mince meat of his car, be surprised if the gearbox survived that intact

In about half an hour Tsunoda is racing to get into F1 next year. He has to keep 3rd in the F2 standings.

The Renault looks great under lights.

Stroll 7 tenths off Perez and out. That's going to hurt in the fight for 3rd

He was sent out on used Mediums.

As you were with the front 3, albon with a p4 giving red bull some chance of working a bit of a race strategy. Perez p5 and still not guaranteed a drive next year!
Danny ric and ocon p6 and p7 could be a big one with the battle for 3rd in the constructors unless ferrari work wonders with a free choice of tyres in p11 and p12 but you'd doubt that....

25 posts and its race day. Sums it up

Expect Mercs to vanish into the distance unless Max can get amongst them. He needs Albon to stay in touch too

I'll be (and sky too probably ) be keeping an eye on the battle for 3rd in the constructors. Unless theres a safety car or red flag the usual 3 are speeding off into the horizon.

Ya low key build up for this one. Kinda just want to get this one out of the way so we can move onto the outer circuit race which I'm looking forward to. I'm most interested in Albon's performance today. He's finally qualified where he should be, will be curious to see how he goes in the race.

Have to love the irony of having an end racism presentation in a country with one of the worst human rights records.
