Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Completely agree, the UFC top 5 are doing well. Kim Winslow, or that Lord of the Rings looking fella probably just taking an average wage. Most we've never heard of as they can't crack the big events.

Any one know where I can find the in the clinch episode with Dominick Cruz? Been looking every where online since it came out but can't find it anywhere?

With Big John taking a break we might see Josh Rosenthal back – he was a great ref before he got himself locked up. I know he ref’d one or two early prelim fights on a UFC card recently.

I hope so. Him and Goddard are very good and similar but the I think Mike Belt ran will see more work coming his way

He didn't smuggle anything. He operated a legal farm in Oakland California. One of the most stupid problems with the legal system in the US is something can be legal in a state and still illegal federally and the federal government can still prosecute you for things like possession, manufacturing and intent to supply something that is 100% legal in the state you live in.

Ah, he often gets portrayed as a criminal mastermind on reddit. Didn't realise he was operating legally. (well not federally)

Yeah it's stupid and it's about to get worse. In the last couple of years the feds haven't been getting involved and just deferring to state law, but Sessions is about to actively go after anyone who breaks it. So much for Trump saying it was a state issue!

I see Mighty Mouse has got shoulder surgery today so we wont be seeing him vs tj for a while yet i reckon.

Would love to see the Dillashaw v Cruz rematch in the meantime.

Even more stupidly, he wasn't the one operating it. He owned the warehouse/facility and leased it out to an operator. He was charge with the possession because he was on his property when they raided.

Seems so dumb. I thought crime had to take place across state lines, or federal properly before it tell under the feds jurisdiction.
Would be good to see him catching a break

It's mental stuff. There are companies making massive money and banks won't touch it so they have to hire private security and keep it on side in vaults. It makes no sense, the state and federal government will take tax on all of it, but the federal government can, at any minute, raid you, take everything and throw you in jail.

I can understand the banks not touching it. According to bank robbery movies - banks are protected by the federal reserve, so under federal jurisdiction. So weed money would be proceeds of crime.

The raid though, what a screw job

I think Vitor is actually done, he's taken a huge amount of damage recently. He's also got an MBA in Business, so he should have prospects outside of fighting

I wish they’d pull the finger out and get a fight announced for Darren Till. The Cerrone fight was back in October and people were buzzing over that performance, they should strike while the iron is hot. He seems to be raring to go aswell

Yeah I'd say if McGregor hasn't fought by then or on that night they will have stripped the title

Finally Artem gets his homecoming, this could be a breakout moment for him similar to McGregor @ UFC Dublin 2014

Enjoyed Woodley's turn on the latest JRE MMA Show. He does come back to the whole being disrespected shlock a bit too much (even if it is partly true) but overall he comes across very well in it.

In fairness 2-4 is probably the best run of results in his career.

Conor v Tony in Vegas, July, UFC 226
Winner v Khabib (possibly in Russia), September, UFC 228

You can take that to the credit union.

Artem has serious motivation now, big win in London gets him on the Russia card. I can't see how he doesn't get cut with a loss. Well i can see it but you know.

Whittaker out of 221 in Perth. Romero steps in to fight Rockhold for the Interim. I'm surprised Romero is getting the chance considering his last fight was for the interim belt which he lost.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,904 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

Sucks for Whittaker, wonder what the 'undisclosed injury' was. Let's go Yoel, I Sheeee You Shoooon......Luuuuuuke.

    Another interim for **** sake.

This probably means Whitaker misses the Commonwealth games too. Gutted for him.

I would expect Ferguson v Khabib April in Brooklyn, McGregor v winner - September in Russia if Khabib, August in Vegas if Ferguson.

Really? How come? Considering Whittaker just beat Romero?

UFC really should have held onto Mousasi ffs.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,464 ✭✭✭Ultimate Seduction

McGregor is not going to sit out till September lads ye come out with some ****. He had a fight booked and it'll be announced soon

  • Registered Users Posts: 735 ✭✭✭Django99

    Another interim for **** sake.

Interim belts don't annoy me at all really. In reality we all know who best in a division is if the match ups are made correctly, which they are the vast majority of the time.

Very disappointed for Whittaker as this was a big opportunity. Happy for Romero though as he probably only has a couple of more fights and he's proven himself to be good enough to be fighting the best consistently. It's an interesting match up, hard to know who will have the striking advantage and both of them are beasts when it comes to grappling.

It wouldn't be! He's proved throughout his career that he is a very active fighter. Last year being the exception due to the child and boxing match.
The man is obsessed with fighting hell fight 3 times this year

Another one bites the dust. Hall never showed up to weigh in, can't stand him and was looking forward to seeing Vitor go crazy on him. Vitor is a gas man though, asking for 10 mil or this was gonna be his last fight.

Ok...no real indication from Helwanis tweet there that it's "very serious"? Helwani doesn't even know what's happened

  • Registered Users Posts: 735 ✭✭✭Django99

Also Paige tweeted and said "it was the scariest thing I've ever seen" whatever it was .
