Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just treated myself to this “ Snoopy” Halloween ornament for 11.91 plus p&p on Amazon.
It retailed at $24.99 ( roughly €22.50) when it was released last year. It’s the cheapest I’ve seen it since last July. No import taxes either which I always try to avoid paying!

Thanks, that's gorgeous and particularly given that the original big bird puppeteer passed away recently. Ordered it.

Happy childhood memories when you only had RTE/BBC to watch cartoons.

My husband keeps telling me that I had a deprived childhood not having BBC, but at least we had Sesame St. I loved " The Count" :)

I was trying to explain to my daughter that the TV we had when I was her age had 8 channel buttons on the top and you had to go up and press one when you wanted to change channel.

She looked at me like I had two heads :D

I liked the count and Oscar but had a soft spot for Cookie Monster.

Mine came today. Half tempted to leave it out year round on a shelf as it's quite big and not especially festive. But then again it would be magic (and huge) on the tree...

Caranica, only saw your reply today. I'm kinda just popping in now and again for a browse so hadn't checked this thread. Oh that's cool that you got your " BigBird," :) To be honest when it's on the tree with the other festive items, you don't think about it not being a " Christmasy" item. I thought it looked great, then again I have a mish-mash of everything on my tree.

I did my first bit of Christmas shopping today and picked this Lottie stable up from Arnotts today. It was on sale for €21 reduced from €70. Think it was last one left.

Just a heads up but there have been a few nice bargains on Amazon.com lately regarding Hallnark ornaments. Prices fluctuate sometimes up to silly prices but I have seen a few nice ornaments drop to around the 7/8$ mark that retailed between $16 and$22 when they came out. A good way to pass the time while the corona virus limits shopping trips ;)

Forget stockpiling toilet paper, and stockpile christmas ornaments instead :D

That looks like a good bargain! Would anyone recommend it for someone who doesn't normally use tanning products? I'm a bit undecided on whether I'll get spray tan for my wedding, or if I'll go with my natural blinding paleness :D so recently I've been toying with the idea of trying some fake tan.

I wouldn't go the DIY route, personally. For a wedding, I'd recommend Bronze Leaf spray tan which a good few places do :)

I am not sure where you are based but my friend used these for her hens and her wedding and they do the Bellamianta brand for tan by the looks of their website https://allurebeautyandspa.com/treatments/

Great value in that set from Boots I have never used it personally

Thank you both! I wouldn't be chancing diy for my wedding, but was thinking of giving fake tan a go beforehand to help me make up my mind, but I think I'll be better off going to my local beautician (in the Wesht :D) and see how a trial goes :)

The offer in boots is very good, I'll have to let the tanners know before it sells out :) Boots do an offer every Tuesday that's been really good so far, 12euro for certain products. I forgot yesterday was Tuesday and missed the Smashbox mascara.

We always get a few and they'll do us for presents and into the year as well.

When my grandmother was alive and getting older she insisted one Christmas on giving everybody of all ages a tin of Kimberly and a box of Milktray one year. My mother had to go to Tesco and purchase 16 tins of Kimberly and 16 boxes of Milktray at about 8am so she wouldn't be seen.

Is it just me or does it seem that Marks and Spencer aren't doing as much 20% off homeware/womenswear and mens wear so far this season?

Last year I stocked up on some jeans around this time swell as November and remember sharing discounts with my mother in law non stop as she's a big Marks lover but nothing really this year

The first lockdown badly hit M&S ESPECIALLY clothing as people aren’t going out socialising/partying

They’re prob trying to recoup their losses given the year that’s in it.

    That doesn't say where, slogan-wise I'd assume Homestore&More.

Their home delivery was very efficient when I used it a few weeks ago, but that was pre-L5.

Did you read as for sale in the shops in general or 'sale' as in for a discounted price?
