Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, I'm looking at the Irish Beds Ruby Memory Foam Set on your website (Superking).

    https://bigmickey.ie/product/irish-beds-ruby-memory-foam-bed-set/

Does this set include the headboard? Also, how do you arrange the removal of the old bed/mattress on you site?

    Hi

The Ruby set is base and mattress only. We sold out earlier this week but Back in stock tomorrow again as far as I am aware. Headboards from 99 euro. We can take away old beds or mattresses. You can pay for this on delivery or we can send you a payment link in advance.

The Hilton 3000 has a memory foam top while the underside is orthopaedic.

You can see it on www.bigmickey.ie

We actually had this mattress delivered to us yesterday.
A little firmer than I was expecting, but it's replacing a well worn mattress, so that's not surprising.
Good first nights sleep and looking forward to my Saturday sleep-in already.

    Hi fergiesfolly

If you had a good first nights sleep than that should be a positive sign. The bed industry says that it can take up to 30 nights to get used to a new mattress. Most people adjust very quickly. Hope all goes well on the Saturday sleep in and make sure you get breakfast in bed afterwards. :):):)

Got a foam mattress and base from yourselves BigMickey about 6 years ago. I don't move at all when I sleep, sleep in the same location in the bed and so over time a groove has formed even when I swap the mattress around. Can you recommend another type of mattress? King size. Thanks.

    Hi BigMickey,

Have bought some stuff from you in the past - great products service! I am looking for a new double bed for guest bedroom (divan and mattess). Can you give me a couple of options for a midrange bed, and perhaps a price for Ottoman style base as well as a standard one? Would need old mattress and base removed too.

  • Company Representative Posts: 1,484 ✭✭✭bigmickey.ie

    Hi RobThe Lad

Depending on budget We would recommend the Vogue Ortho set at 435 euro. You could also look at the Marlborough at 325 euro but there is a big difference in quality between them.

Hi Big Mickey. Looking for a a medium-firm pocket sprung mattress of hotel quality, for a side sleeper. Best one I've tried in your rivals shops is Homelee President 2000. Do you have a recommendation to beat this?

Is the Diamond 2000 really worth 200 more then the Hilton? in your honest opinion, I've heard good things about the Hilton 3000 looking at some of it's reviews. I would try out both of them myself but not in the current situation so I'd have to go by your word on it.

    Hi Ekerot

They are both fine mattresses. The Diamond 2000 has natural fillings like wool, silk, cashmere and so on so that is where the extra expense is coming from. The Hilton and The Diamond are currently our two big sellers.

    Hi Tusky

The Hilton and The Diamond and The Vogue (open Coil) would be our 3 top sellers . Pre Covid we would normally ask customers if they could call to us and thy the different mattresses out before purchase. Nowadays, we at least try and talk to them by phone to try and understand what their needs are. Do you like soft, medium or firm ? are there 2 people sleeping in the bed. Is there anything that they may be allergic to ? The list goes on. If you would like to call us you can do so on

You can spend from 65 euro to well over 1000 euro on a single mattress. Is it for every night use ? Bets would be to give me a call or pm me your number until I see what you need exactly. We have a big selection of mattresses. Will always have a bargain of some sort also.

Looking for a 5ft divan with 4 drawers and a mattress to go with it, we're replacing a Besr Rest Beds - Dream Escort Pocket Sprung Mattress that we got from you in 2013, so something along that line for the mattress.

I see the Vogue listed at 325 on the site? Is that the correct one? Would there be much difference in how firm each are would they both be similar medium to firm? Is there an option to select mattress removal on the site or if it's handier I can call to place an order?

I'm in Donegal don't know when yous are in this direction again or what your shipping times are. Not in a panic but mid to later May I'd hope to have room ready for.
