Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not sure when Jonathan Gill's trial was set...but I was standing at the back of Court 5 a few months ago when his case was up for mention. Gill arrived in at the last minute..stood at the very back of the room...looked a bit nervous and with a new haircut. While he was waiting for his case to be called, he actually changed his top in the Court. Looked like a man under pressure...then disappeared out the door with his solicitor.
Inreresting that wasnt in papers. I heard June 19th for Gills retrial but not sure, media on blackout it seems

They're the law so they don't have to abide by the laws they enforce on normal citizens. A law onto themselves no wonder the ordinary citizens has no respect for them.

Always record yourself during interactions with gardai to protect yourself from malicious prosecution or physical harm.

The Michael O'Toole Twitter is very quite regarding the developments of the last week.

Always the first account I check, has he past the torch to his younger hack re gangland.

A chap I know really well was on the landing with that gob****e for a few weeks on remand... Full of shyte. Reckon if he's any sense he's fecked off now that Naily is out, then again he's not the smartest, every possibility he's still in the más house issuing YouTube threats from his bedroom.

    Hes currently banged up

That article was from the Sat 11th and stated he was to appear the following Fri which was the 17th. How do you know he's still banged up?

How has he managed to keep his picture out of all the articles?

The spelling on some of those twitter feeds is so bad, its like they were written in code...

Now I know this is a naive question but....the hacks are saying this Iranian lad sought and was granted political asylum in Ireland. They also say he was deeply involved in criminality and that the Gardaí had served him several threat warnings lately. The posts on the thread here confirm all that and also why he got clipped.

What I'd love to know is, when someone here on an asylum docket or any other type of temporary or contested residency gets themselves caught up in the sh1t, why are they not pinched and deported in like 3 seconds flat for violation of their leave to remain? Again I know thats naive, but is it a judicial issue, a policing issue or a legislative issue???

Not defending the practice, but even if the asylum grantee is of poor character, if the underlying reason for granting him asylum still holds, it's probably illegal under international law to deport him to a jurisdiction where his life is (purportedly) under threat.

If he was telling porkies when he applied for asylum is another matter, and it should have been rooted out at that stage.

If he genuinely under threat of being tortured or executed in Iran, the European Court of Human Rights will block his deportation.

Would the reason of that threat not be because he broke a law or two in Iran in the first place and that should be a factor in allowing the asylum in the first place? Same for these lads coming over with previous for being sexual predators in their home countries. Shouldn't be allowed waltz from one country to another.

Such is the asylum process , he can claim to be anyone once he gets off the boat or plane and make up any story ,doesn't even have to provide fingerprints or photographs coz of human rights .

could be anyone or have done anything , criminals run out of their own country or looking to make easy cash in a soft country, runners up in some horrible civil war in Africa religious nut jobs

looking at the way the body is left there it doesn't appear that anybody attempted to give him any assistance.

Yesterday we told how Sanambar attended Balbriggan Garda Station claiming his innocence and that he did not carry out the shootings.

The Irish Sun can reveal scumbag Sanambar — who graduated from lower level crime to murder after receiving political asylum here — was an associate of another hitman in Ardee, Co Louth.

This man is suspected of carrying out at least five hits, sources say.

Sanambar, who regularly wore a bulletproof vest, had previously lived in Co Longford.

There he had aligned himself to a Traveller gang involved in drugs. According to sources, he specialised in forcing local families through terror to leave so his cronies could snap up cheap houses. But sources also say Sanambar was making inroads into the underworld all over the country.

One said: “This dangerous individual had links to gangs not only in Longford and Dublin, but also in Cork and Limerick.

“He was making a name for himself, and by no means was just a small player.”

I wonder would his murder have any implications, doubt it unless he owed somebody a considerable amount.

Any thoughts on why 2 people due to stand trial for Gary Hanley murder conspiracy would all of a sudden plead guilty. AW today and JK on Monday. Means only LB due to stand trial in October. Don't see him pleading guility
