Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

People are arseholes. I can't stand working with people,

Apart from a lighthouse keeper I'm looking for a job that could keep me away from people.

I'm an angry little man so no jobs where being tall is a necessity..

    Traffic Warden.

You will meet people but it will confuse them if you are not Grumpy. I think it's in the job description.

Any undertakers I know are the best of craic.

Obviously not when they are at a funeral, but it's a job where a sense of humour is an absolute necessity.

    Its you isn't it?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

My friend Frank, after graduating from University in New Jersey wanted to just work for a little while in some ... any...job. He went into a huge "Home Depot" in Paramus (or was it Lodi..can't remember) and said: "Hi, I'm Frank. I'd like a job for a while and I don't like people." Guy who he addressed looked at him and half laughed and then shouted to some bloke in the loading area "Guys, we have Frank here, he wants a job and he don't like people."

Frank started an hour later operating a mini-forklift carrying pallets of bleach and listening to crap on the radio pumped into the warehouse. Happy as hell for months. Then I met him in an office job...that's how I learned of the job.
