Jones has excellent takedown defence and would be a much stronger candidate to Anderson, Sonnen has no chance. I really don't know why people are saying bisping will beat belcher, belcher has serious power in his punches and bisping doesn't have a great chin.

    Excellent card all over.

As was already said about Bispings chin.

really think davis will win on points
    price is 10/11
more i look at it the more I cant see past it
davis wont sub vinnie and vinnie wont sub davis imo
davis too good a wrestler anyway
davis wouldn't ko the cat and vinnie definitely wont be
koing davis when much better fighters have failed
it's 8/13 that this fight goes the distance
i'd have it a lot shorter
If i could afford to I would have a huge bet on this

I do think this will be one of the most boring fights of the year

my main bet is bisb pts so dont want to invest anymore
as im not loaded so went with miller pts also in a double

I'd be tempted to stick a bet on Kongo. Don't think that fight is straightforward at all. Kongo could beat Roy standing as I think he has slightly more technical striking. But while Kongo can fold, Roy certainly won't. And I don't know if Roy will look to take this down to the mat. Kongo has every chance to catch him clean and if he does Roy will go down.

Having said all that, Roy's overhand right could stop a train if he can connect

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 11,139 Mod ✭✭✭✭Mr. Manager

Pretty sure Kongo isn't going to be putting Nelson to sleep. The dude has been KO'd once and fought some of the hardest hitters out there.

He went 15 minutes with JDS..

Not only that but JDS beat the sh*t out of him. Anyone else taking those shots would've crumbled after 1.

It would be easier to knock out a horse than nelson

kongo can win this on points alright but any other way? No way

Was just talking about these picks with Bohsman, agree with each pick except Bisping. I think he'll finish.

    Here's the decider :)

    Heavyweight
    Roy Nelson vs. Cheick Kongo
Roy has a solid chin, incredible KO power and a really underutilised BJJ game. He repeatedly walks through attacks lands the big right hands. A part of me would love to see his ground game on show a bit more. A lot of people aren’t aware of his BJJ credentials and it would one a great wtf moment if he took him down mounted him and slapped on a gogoplata. It this is a bad match up for Kongo. He beats lower tier fighters by grinding out decisions. But Nelson isn’t going to settle into that sort of pace. He’ll be looking to close fast. So much so that I think both Nelson in rd 1 @ 23/10 and Nelson by TKO @ 7/5 both represent value.
    Nelson by TKO in Rd1
    Roy delivered in spades

Free rolling myself at the min.
    Staked $300 and €320
    So far I've returned $400 and €384
Little or large profit is riding on Bisping. €352 back if he wins by decision.

Half a round left I have him up by two.

on the other hand i'd also have gone jones round 2
Not happy for being disciplined on this occasion :pac:

most of it went to plan I think but it rarely happens like that

pat healy won sub of the nite also (9/1 healy by sub in that fight)
goes without saying nelson got ko of the night

I don't think bigfoot has a hope in hell and the odds reflect that

    I think hunt/jds cerrone/noons and souza/cammozzo are all mismatches

jds is on another level to hunt
I dont rate noons at all and cerrone can't possibly lose this
souza is in a different league to camozzi

that leaves glover who I think will be too good for te huna

stage I'm saying I really can't see any of the others doing so

They're well deserving to be favourite. But that doesn't mean they aren't too short. I think Nurmagomedov is too short. He's undefeated but mostly in Russia.

The problem with very short favs is that even getting it right 80% of the time could see a loss.

I am taking khabib for granted which might be risky as his opponent is
the only fighter of that lot I haven't see before

The one price of that lot that i think is a bit of value is cerrone
I'd have him shorter than the rest but still too short for
a single unless a huge stake
He would want to have a serious off day for noons to get
    the better of him

It is a nice bet but the 1 bet I don't like among those 6 I don't like is the Glover pick. I have a feeling that Te Huna may be able to pull this one out.

Glover has a lot of hype but he hasn't faced a murderer's row of competition, Kingsbury and Maldanado were veritable punching bags in my opinion and Rampage is on a serious downslide. Glover looked gassed after 7 mins in that fight and Te Huna came on very strong in his last fight against Jimmo. I expect him to weather the storm and pull out a split decision/late stoppage.

Rockhold to win by decision at 3/1 is a better bet than the accumulator in my view. Good luck either way. Don't like the next 2 cards betting wise, ufc 159 had more interesting matchups.

The betting money is coming in on Rockhold, which means Belfirt drifted from a slight fav to a slight underdog. I think it's time to move on Belfort.

I won't get into all my reasons yet but I think Vitor as an underdog is a value bet

Been hoping someone would touch on this for a while now
I backed vitor at evens over a week ago and went in again

I never expected back then that i'd still be able to get that price now
I've only had one big bet all year on mma which was vitor (v bisg) and
now i've had two but slightly more on this time even though I think
rockhold may be a bit better than bisbing (not sure though)
A mate of mine has had his biggest bet all year on vitor also
I've lumped on belfort, he should be fav imo especially factoring in the
    event being in brazil

I'm doing a piece for a betting website. My main bet in the article is Vitor.
He's a legit top 3 fighter. And has other factors in his favour.

I think his price will fall soon.

    Why is Vitor so short?

He's fighting in Brazil and he's a beast.

Rockhold as much as I like the has only really beat Souza. The rest of his opponents have been the likes Keith Jardine and Tim Kennedy
