Update - Lawn ruined by cattle

    As it has now been 6 weeks since the damage with all correspondence ignored legal proceedings have now commenced.

    A pity for him, will post the result when awarded.

    So as the farmer has not engaged with the court it has been found in our favour.

    Well im glad ye are gettingd sorted. A bit silly of the farmer to let it go that far. Sound like an ignorant man. Do you mind telling us how much he will have to pay? If you don't want to say that's fine.

    Well the sheriff will go to his home which is a farm to recover money or remove goods.

    I also have someone keeping tabs on the livestock

    Not commenting on that as I don’t know.

    But Sherriff recovery costs are added to the initial award at time of recovery.

    in my non legal knowledge - when you win a judgment in the SCC you can then engage with the sheriff yourself to enforce the judgment

    can you pay the sheriff with animals?
    not a nice crowd to deal with he would have been better settling or paying after court

    can you pay the sheriff with animals?

    That must be recent change.
    Wasn’t it the Cavan or Longford Sherriff that was shot a few years back collecting a debt ??
