Jez you'd swear there was never a rape case where the defendant was found innocent prior to the one up the north.

People using the metoo movement is total bull****. Recording was going on well before that.

No matter what sentance she gets she'll still have to face everyone afterwards which im sure will be a lot harder.

But the fact remains and is shown in this thread people judged her cause she had an orgy and that's obviously what she feared most. People judging others lifestyle choice

Undoubtedly this girl has made a total mess of things, and hopefully justice will be served for the sake of the guys she lied about.

The issue is that she lied, not that she had sex with them. Some of the posts here, calling her a slut, and sneering at feminism, make for very enlightening if uncomfortable reading. No doubt softly spoken gents in the real world.

Plus false allegations make it a lot harder for actual victims of rape to be believed too. I have no sympathy for her but a bit of perspective is needed. The accused boys were cleared in a few days, Carl Beech in comparison destroyed lives.

I suppose the question is what do you mean by slut? Where do you draw the line?

Sorry didn't rake through the entire thread but wtf does Carl beech have to do with anything? Is he a Cypriot?

    Anyway

The accused boys were cleared because it's cyprus and not the uk

They'd be cleared in italy, spain, portugal, israel, South america.... But not ireland, canada, the u.s,, well any woke English-speaking country that the metoo hashtag isn't used ironically

Her lies were so outlandish that her story fell apart quickly. What if she only accused the three that she actually had sex with? There would be a court case & they might have been found guilty.

I don't agree with some that they should throw away the key but she definitely needs to be charged & brought through the court system with some punishment if found guilty.

I'll ignore your Twitter induced frustrations in last paragraph but someone about 5 post above claimed she deserves higher penalty than Carl Beech. You don't need to rake through the whole thread just read the posts you are actually replying to.

A fair penalty is the sentence the people she falsely accused would have got if found guilty.

The word slut is a derogatory term used to describe a person who has casual sex with different partners. I don't refer to anyone as a slut, so there is no line. It's none of my business.

I don't believe that any girl/woman really wants group sex, and I think she'd have regretted it even if she hadn't created the rest of the mess that she stupidly did. I think that sexual promiscuity is a really bad idea for many reasons, but name calling, not for me.

    What's with the homophobic username?

It's funny how so-called feminists try to shame men using crude, sexual terms ("oh you don't get any, you're an incel, probably **** in your parents basement") when the tables are turned they get all precious about how we must believe the lies of some of the nastiest and skankiest women and how it's all the fault of toxic masculinity. Well, women can be pretty toxic too

No you're right. Labelling is bad form.

Why use a noun when a long-winded dictionary definition is kinder?

He's not a rapist. That's name calling. He's a man who likes penetration without consent.

I do believe some people, male and female, want group sex. I believe many will regret it, especially if someone finds out. If the worst that comes out of it is name calling you're doing alright.

What first attracted her on her own to 12 males that she later thought raped her?

You asked me what I meant by slut, and now you're being sarcastic when I give you the accepted meaning. Rapist isn't a derogatory term.

I don't believe you want a discussion, your post reads as an annoying wind up. I'm out.

She placed her worth in her perceived desirability, which she judged by the amount of men who wanted to do her at the same time. I'd say she decided to lower her inhibitions by consuming alcohol.

Inhibitions by consuming alcohol would imply her 'friends' thought she was perfectly sober. Or was she in Ayia Napa the party capital of Cyprus on her own?

Anyway I'm glad it was cleared up fairly quickly and this kind of false accusations do deserve custodial sentence.

Oh talking to women and having the craic where there’s other people around is fine and should be encouraged. That’s how you get to know people.

I'd hardly at this point put Spacey in with those 2.

A bit of an update to this story.

She has now confessed to making it all up and it wasn't because they filmed the act, it was in revenge for having been spurned by one of the guys. He didn't want to have sex with her, so she decided to claim he and the others raped her.

Photo of the girl, face blurred. Would have been on that quick as a flash when I was a lad.

    Some actual news..

    https://www.timesofisrael.com/british-tourist-said-to-admit-she-made-up-gang-rape-since-she-felt-humiliated/
The Israeli teenager who had been considered the main suspect, upon being released from custody, said that “the truth has been revealed.”

“God will punish her. We don’t care whether she is prosecuted, the main thing is that she has been arrested,” he added. “All the teenagers coming to Ayia Napa need to be careful.”

The suspects told Channel 12 that she agreed to be filmed and “everything was consensual.”

“She said ‘close the door,’ for the children [so they shouldn’t see], she wanted sex,” one of the suspects told the network.

“As I claimed throughout, there was no rape in Cyprus,” said Nir Yaslovitzh, an attorney for some of the suspects. “The youths who went on a vacation that became a nightmare will return to their homes today. All of them will return home to their families. Cypriot police carried out a professional and thorough investigation.”

    https://www.timesofisrael.com/cyprus-court-remands-uk-tourist-who-said-she-made-up-rape-claim-against-israelis/
Some of the Israeli youths have said they plan to file a joint lawsuit against the woman. Channel 13 reported they intend claim at least 60,000 euros ($66,740) in damages and that local authorities are also considering a lawsuit against the tourist for the high cost of the investigation.

    https://cyprus-mail.com/2019/07/29/heroes-welcome-for-israeli-teens-after-woman-detained-for-false-rape-claim-update-2/
The seven teens were jubilant when they were greeted by their cheering families at Ben Gurion Airport on Sunday night.

“In the arrivals hall, the teens, all wearing white yarmulkes, loudly celebrated their release by opening champagne bottles, chanting “Am Yisrael Chai” (the people of Israel lives) along with “the Brit is a whore.” They said they did not regret or feel bad about the incident.

Are you asking me to have sympathy for a girl that just tried to have 12 men BOYS innocently jailed in a foreign country for 10 years?

Her identity shouldn't even be protected.

I think the story was so stupid that she would easily have been caught. The fast she tried to implicate somebody who wasn't even there. but agreed it is frightening and identities shouldn't be released before trial.

This is about as blatant a false claim as it gets. I noticed that she still receives anonymity in that ToI article. Is that normal? I know that she'll be named once indicted but it seems odd to withhold her name at this point.

I don't know how the Cypriot system punished false reports but I hope this one gets prosecuted and given a punishment at the highest end of the scale. Throwing around a rape allegation for such a frivolous reason is disgusting and needs to be seen as something taken seriously.

Based on what's publicly known, this girl made the allegation, possibly with the advice of friends. If this is true, then she decided to make this allegation thinking that it would be easy and risk-free and this is a major problem - the perception that such a false allegation can be made and that the risk of facing any consequences is so low. Actual prosecutions for false allegations would help correct that.

And for the benefit of those who appeared confused about the difference between a false allegation and an allegation that doesn't meet the burden of "beyond reasonable doubt", this post is about false allegations. It's not about allegations that don't reach a guilty verdict. They are very different things and shouldn't be confused.

Hats off to the Cypriots. We tend to look down on these 'hot' countries for being a bit corrupt and all that, but seems like they don't have that "believe all women" default position and actually investigated the crime thoroughly.

Of course it helped the Israeli lads that they had video evidence of her begging for more Shlomo cock.

I guess they had to investigate every boy that was there. 12 of them. 5 were eliminated a few days ago.

Every phone needed to be checked. DNA sample from everyone involved.

Good life lesson for the boys here.
