Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I think my left side is weaker than my right too, but maybe that's just psychological, or else maybe it has better stabilisation muscles or co-ordination etc. so 'feels' stronger? :confused:

    continuing to feel like a truck hit me, but a bit better today.

    swim/steam/sauna today. We'll call it 15 lengths swimming, wasn't strictly keeping track
    Got a 1h20min massage also. Like foam rolling but more painful and extreme but also relaxing. My upper back was crunching away :o
    Cooking one of my new favourite dinners now, bell peppers onions courgettes sausages and pesto.

    Instructed myself to take the week off so back to normal training on monday I hope

    Do the sausages first then take them out and throw all the veg in, chop up the sausages and put them and the pesto back in near the end
    It also looks very pretty in the pan with the different colours :D oh and olive oil
    I threw this in with it yesterday also http://www.tesco.ie/groceries/Product/Details/?id=264653295 but forgot today. it's perfect as well. except the corn. gone off corn in stir fries completely

    Yeah massage is awesome, booked in again for next month

    Non programme day to get back into it.
    Also because i was leaning forward too much in squats the other week so i wanted to check that out. Did a lot of hip stretches. Felt great on 40 & 45 withno lean and happy in form, but a bit of lean on 50. Going down too low / weak? Felt like it was from feeling weak.
    Hips felt great on the deadlifts and sprints also. I'm converted :pac:

    Went to a yoga class
    I love yoga but it was hard to focus today as I wasn't strictly supposed to be in there (it was full and I was afraid of getting kicked out) & friend took wrong mats out of cupboard - super short ones, and all the rest
    Still, I might try find another one that isn't all last minute not allowed book in advance wait and see if there's a space at the door.
    Or bjj classes. that'd be great craic

    stir fry pesto veg mix mentioned earlier + diced chorizo & oven baked chicken fillets stuffed with garlic & herb philadelphia wrapped in chorizo slices

    I just put some turkey mince on a tray, spread it into a slab...garlic, salt, pepper, oven, belly, win.

    Had no energy or interest til i got going. Then i wanted to lift stuff again too
    I guess that's why i am supposed to 'deload' this week before test day :)

    Press-ups are my new jam tbh - having said that I am finding it really hard to progress beyond the 10-15 rep range, but definitely stick with them imo!

    Did about 22 lengths before pausing, then 2 more

    test day with hanley yay o/

    no goals this time to chill out a bit
    was in evening so was quite tired and VERY stressed from the drive which led to overthinking things

    anyway!
    squat 60 -> 67.5 :D:D:D
    failed the first attempt cos of my head. got it the second time
    bench 41 -> 42.5 ! :eek:
    I had to fight for that one hard but I got it!
    (I actually thought my prev 1rm was 42 until I went back and checked so now I'm even happier about that)
    deadlift we left at 100kg. I was tired. I also ended up doing a little dance cos my foot slipped and went sideways so it was pretty hilarious lifting it up hopping around the place :D

    More importantly everything at close to max was a lot stronger and steadier than last time.
    I'm very happy
    Time to go back to pushing strength harder for the next cycle :cool::cool::cool::cool:
