Its a much better venue than London as Hyde Park has a rather laughable 72dB limit on volume.

Secured Standing tickets on the NY presale, all smooth from presale point of view.

Information is very poor when buying. No seat map, prices start at €76 up to €181.(+tm fees)

I got pitch standing which was €100 and fees, so €106.85 per ticket. I have no issie with that price.

The seat selection page has the stand names in Irish, “Ardan Breathnach”,etc which i understood, but god help anyone who is coming from overseas to the gig, and apparently many are travelling from outside Ireland as its one of two gigs they are doing together.

Get yeere **** together Aikens, give us a map so we can understand better.

It'll most likely be the same layout as Springsteen's Wrecking Ball weekender with the stage down the Country End...

Booked a private hostel room, staying Saturday night only.
I'd say there will be special trains back to Dublin, directly after the gig, and busses to everywhere, as there was for the two Springsteen gigs,
so there are some alternatives to paying through the nose for acomadation.

I will be going for Neil, Bob has really dissapointed me the few times I have seen him. Neil never dissapoints me. Still releasing great albums.

I just wish we got some of the solo gigs he does regularly in the U.S., its been way too long since those amazing Vicar Street solo accoustic gigs, 2003 !

NY Presale starts in the morning 9am

I hear ya. That was quite a night.

I would have thought the acoustic gigs would be totally suited to a European jaunt - a cheap tour for him - but he's never really done that apart from Greendale. Not recently anyway.

Grabbed a standing ticket in the NY presale - worth the $20 annual subscription to avoid the hassle of general sale on Monday.

Prices are €76.00, €156, €181 seating & €100 standing. Obviously you can add the unjustifiable €6.85 service charge on top of those.

  • Registered Users Posts: 28,118 ✭✭✭✭drunkmonkey

Anyone that signed up for the subscription can you get another code for the standing, save me signing up...thanks

Each NYA subscription is only given one unique code per gig, unfortunately.

Actually, I just checked and my code works again, so it must not be limited to one order. Here's the details:

    Code = NY9KKDXQ

    https://www.ticketmaster.ie/bob-dylan-neil-young-kilkenny-07-14-2019/event/1800558D3D57E56E?majorcatid=10001&artistid=734972&did=gnuoy&minorcatid=1

It's hard to see standing in the list but it'll appear if you narrow the price range to just show €100 tickets.

    Map from Bruce Springsteen 2013
The €76 seem to the very last section of the Old stand. Prob see **** all from there

very confusing presale, went for pitch standing and hopefully we wont have a sectioned off pitch like Paul Simon last summer

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,906 ✭✭✭Cazale

Signed up for the Neil Young Archives for $20 and got the presale code. Much better than messing about Monday morning as I wasn't sure if I could get to a computer at 9am. Cost €213 for two standing tickets including the fees.

It has to be illegal selling tickets and not having a seat map available.
I think it was Taylor Swift ,Ticketmaster put tickets on sale without a map and people bought Pitch Standing to find out later to their horror that the standing area was at the back of the pitch behind all of the seats.

You have 72 hours to return the tickets if they aren't suitable anyway but Ticketmaster Ireland needs to up its game ,the website is extremely amateurish .

Sharing codes can have results, sometimes ticket cancellations, i won’t be risking that, especially as its only $20 annually for the membership, its includes hi res files of his complete back catalogue also.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,833 ✭✭✭s8n

the NYA is well worth $20 per year

There's no way this will happen for this gig. If there was pitch seating in-front of pitch standing, it would've been available in the NYA pre-sale. He's very particular on his Archives website having access to the best seats for presales.

Agree, but without a cast in stone seating map its a worry.

Nonsense, it's up to Ticketmaster to config certain events in their system to only accept codes once or a certain number of times. If you can use it more than once and you shouldn't be able to, it's on them.

No golden circle at NY, he does not do these,
But thats not to say there won’t be a section in front of the stage, for the early arrivals at the gig, this was in place for the Springsteen gigs there, and worked very well.

There is a Golden Circle and Diamond Circle at his Hyde park gig.

He says gig was announced before he 100% agreed, he then demanded the sponsor be withdrawn which it was. It doesent normally happen at his gigs though. Tickets had already been sold, it wasn’t possible to chage the tiering- apparently !

That's just a standard pit though, no? Same as any large outdoor gig, for crowd control more than anything else.

What is the pre-sale ran through? Where do you gain access to codes?

Neil Young Archives site - it's $20 annual sub, but you get presale codes for all his gigs, which is worth it for something like this.
