Welcome to the all-new Garda Recruitment thread.

This thread replaces the old Garda Recruitment thread which became too big and unmanageable. By breaking down the application process into seperate threads, we hope that you will find information easier to access with less repetition.

Applying to join An Garda Siochana - Application information, questions and answers relating to applying can be posted here.

Stage 1a (The Aptitude Test) - This thread contains information about stage 1 of the application process. Questions, Answers and general information about the aptitude test and results can be found here.

Stage 1b - Form B - If you pass The Aptitude Test, you will fill in "FORM B" (Application Form - Garda Trainee) while you are waiting on your interview date. Feel free to ask for help, advice or guidance on all things FORM B related!

Stage 1c - Informal Meeting - Post any questions, experiences or advice on the "informal chat" with the Superintendent in this thread.

Stage 2 - The Interview - Report Writing, Verbal Reasoning, Face To Face. Get all the information you need to help you prepare for the big interview here. Remember, no details of the scenario you witness and write about about can be posted on boards.ie

Stage 3a - Medical Examination - If you pass Stage 2 above, you will need to complete a full medical examination. Post all advice, questions and experiences here.

Stage 3b - Physical Competence Test - Post tips on how to prepare for, and pass the PCT here. Feel free to brag about your results too!
