Yeah, they've been there for a long time. The Polo never moves, I see the Golf about the odd time.

I love that model of Polo. There was a supercharged model, the G40. As with most hot hatches of those days it didn't offer much in the way of clues as to its abilities. I was maybe 13-14.

I still want to own one.

They are in Coolock village, though they are parked right in the middle of the street so its hard to say where they belong to.

The older parts of Coolock are still good, especially around Chanel. Theres an original Irish reg Triumph 2000 nearby the Golf and Polo, though it wasn't there today.

There was a guy at the back of the airport with a brand new unregistered Morris minor. Does anybody know if he still has it or what happened to the car. It was a blue one if I remember right..

Great to see the Charade still on the old plates - afaik - lots of the old plates were replaced with the newer EU style plates by owners when they came out originally.

you mean post 1990 I reckon....

It's a moot point really. A pre 1990 car when new wouldn't have had EU plates but a pre 1990 car imported since 1990 should by rights have EU plates.

(My camper passed the CVRT with non-EU plates and that's a 1987...imported last year)

Was it an 89 registered in 89 or a more recent import? AN 89 registered here in 89 is fully legal on plain white plates
