Love how I'm like the only one here not talking about snow . It's Spring... come on warm sun. Don't want a disappointing Spring for the 3rd year in a row.

I suggest you not look at the UKMO long range forecast, or some of the models for mid March, in that case.

Impressive!, almost looks like a thundercell over France in summer.

Drove home into it - car showed a 2degree drop pretty much as soon as I hit the precipitation, which is already a bit mixed. That's near Roundwood.

I see a visit to some mountains in my weekend :D

Could be some large falls of snow on high ground over the next 48 hours!

Nasty warnings there. Wet, wet and more wet.

chilly here and damp air. Still a dusting of snow atop the more northerly peaks.

Anywhere accessible by public transport close to the snow in Wicklow? Might head up tomorrow for a gander

Not really. 44B goes to Glencullen, but I reckon that's not going to be high enough, unless your willing to hike!

Really? I wouldn't have thought Lugnaquila would be washed clear by Saturday.

    STATUS YELLOW

    Weather Advisory for Ireland

Cold and very unsettled weather will continue right over the weekend.
There will periods of heavy rain, with some severe downpours at times, especially in southwestern, western and northwestern counties with spot flooding. Some falls of sleet and snow at times there also

If there is precipitation in the east, it will likely be snow at times on mountain tops there too.
