Think I'm going to let my 2 year old pick out a name from a hat and see if that works, god knows it can't be any worse than me bringing in Wilson and Eriksen for gw16 (at least I had brought in Anderson too)

    Need to get Anderson in.

I guess it depends on your squad, but I seem to have a few players now who are liable to be rested and this added to minor injuries means my bench has become more important and in my opinion is well worth the extra .4mill investment.

Yeah I agree. There are so many different styles and ways to play and it's very dependent on your personal style. Those who have AWB and Bennett for 4M from the start (for example) may be happy to spend a bit extra on the last attacker or they might have him last on the bench and spend the least possible.

Many of us hate picking a DM though because the game doesn't reward them and we roll our eyes and think "not this again" because we've had the discussions many times.

So the likes of Moutinho, Neves, Kante, McArthur (I've actually been tempted by him :o) and Torriera are more likely to pick up yellow cards than score or assist.

Not too sure that's true as he was playing in front 3 with Sais and Moutinho the central 2. I think he started ahead of Costa and Sais replaced Neves.

Salah is the interesting one for me. He was great last season and he had a nice price tag too. His last six gameweeks read 2, 8, 8, 3, 4, 21. It's not hugely consistent and at 13.0m I'm not sure he is worth it just yet. I do realise that a lot of people have him now but they'll have down weeks with him as well as the good ones.

I've got Sterling, Martial, Ricky, Fraser and Armstrong at the minute. I'm giving Armstrong another couple of gameweeks due to nice fixtures or I may just dump him for Torreira.

I've got Auba, Kane and Wilson up top at the minute and despite what happened with Kane yesterday I'm very happy with that.

Anyways back to Salah. I don't see him continuing what he did yesterday on a consistent basis. I've got a few players who are Captain material and to get in Salah it'd mean being left with very few options for Captain I think.

As much as it hurt me yesterday I'm going to remain without him and hope his inconsistent form holds.

Patricio to Lloris I reckon. I just cant handle another week with a patricio 1or 2 pointer.

Any thoughts on rashford? After this week United have excellent fixtures and he's pretty affordable at 6.8, how vulnerable is his place in the team?

For this week ill probably sign snodgrass for brooks or kenedy

What are Laca owners doing? seriously thinking of ditching him even tho I only got him in this GW. Not sure if Emery trusts him considering he was pulled so early on Saturday and not as nailed on as I had thought 😔

Doherty or TAA? I have Bennett.

Nobody sees him consistently getting hat tricks. Last year was an unreal year for him (one i dont expect him to replicate) however, he is ticking along nicely.
His last 5 gameweeks he has had at the very least a clean sheet point. But most were that plus assists/a goal.

He wont be getting hattys every week, but he also wont blank too often as his stats show. Worth the investment IMO - only 4 - 2 point games in 16 matches, good enough for me. Averaging 6 pts a game pre this week, now brings it up to 6.9........points in the bank.

VRS Aguero (i know he is injured but you pay for it if you keep him) after this week he has 5.1 avergae pts per game, before this week it was 5.5

    Just my two cents!

Going to try to bank the transfer this week unless injuries happen in the midweek games.

Anyone on Andy Carroll watch? Is he likely to reduce Chicarito playing time or improve his opportunities?

Auba & Martial in, longish term move for Martial as Utd fixtures turn after Pool game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,268 ✭✭✭COH

Have double pool defence... Robbo and TAA ... thinking about switching TAA > Doherty

Feel very late to the party but not having him is killing me

Remember getting him last season when he had a double GW and he went and got a monster score in the first game but didn't play the second, though I was happy as I had him as captain.

For that reason alone, if he was fit and starting games I would get him in.

Mr Burns voice: "I'm afraid I've had one of my trademark changes of heart."

Wanted to get Torreira in before his price rises, as well as offload Kenedy. Needed to sell Balbuena to finance it since I was 0.1m short. As a result:

Kenedy, Balbuena out and Torreira, Diop in.

I see PEA is probably going to rise again tonight - that be 0.6m in 2 GW's - it's a little odd how fast he's going up - whereas other players in equal or better from aren't experiencing the same type of rise.

Cheap west ham defenders worth a punt?

None, Fab or nobody. Clean Sheets are urban legends when West Ham are invovled.

Tempted swap either Patricio or Bennett out for Lossl or Zanka

With Newcastle & Southampton at home in next 2 , feel they’ll get a cleanse.

Their defenders ( Zanka, Schindler) are also pretty dangerous on set pieces so swaying for defender

They've got a nice run of fixtures actually:

NEW SOU mun ful BUR car

Could be more than one or two cleanies there. One of Zanka/Schindler are on my shortlist to replace Yedlin.

    Doherty.
    TAA more liable to rotation.

Ye I’ve looked at that but with the way things are & likely injuries thought I’d focus on the upcoming games pre Xmas.

    Think I’ll go Zanka

Was Mitro being subbed early due to injury? I'm in the market for an Arnie replacement this week. Delighted I didn't replace him earlier as it would have been for a hit and the likely replacement Wilson, Mitro and Jimenez all scored less points than the bench fodder I used instead. Might just go with Chic as no one else is jumping out at me.

I'd normally say no way but if you are keeping Salah I think it's worth considering. (I brought in TAA for this this week to go with Robbo, no Mo)
Alonso is a hold given their fixtures and your other two (especially if you only paid 4M) are starters.

No injury for Mitro (or Cairney). The match was lost and he's on 4 YCs. He's 3 decent fixtures to go before the yellow card limit increases to 10.
Chic in for Arnie was my move last week.

Sold Salah last night to fund other moves.

    Rival captained him today

So I think ill be going back to Mo with my tail between my legs.

Ive had a 63 point lead cut to 3 points

I've Richarlison left to play, rival has noone.

Don't think I've ever experienced that much of a pull back in a single gameweek ever before.

To get Salah back its looking like:
    Kane out for Kamara
Then a toss up between Richarlison or Fraser being sold for Salah in MF.

I'm 0.1 short of moving Camarasa for Salah in that move which is annoying.

You're chasing last week's points. Kane is against Burnley this week!

Possibly but that's not the main reason for reverting back to Salah

I'm trying to block future Salah returns of my rival

I have Son as Spurs cover. Only Pool cover I have is TAA.

Mental move imo can you not wait a week at least ? You're surely not Captaining at home to United instead of Kane to Burnley

If you are really keen on this move, could you at least wait till next GW? I just think you'll be kicking yourself not having Kane at home to a DIRE Burnley team.

I've the captaincy on Auba away to Southampton no matter what way I go on these moves

I'm struggling to understand why you wouldn't be Captaining Kane at Home? I'd get rid of Aubam if I was you instead of Kane.

Personally think Kane goes nuts at the weekend.

Funnily enough I think im doing the opposite taking out salah and zaha for kane and Anderson is probably the best option under 7.6.

Only way to get Salah in is to sell Auba or Kane and on review I dont want to losee either over the next few weeks. So its Martial to Son or Alli. Son looking more dangerous recently but think Alli will get more gametime over the medium term and will score more, thoughts?

Wait and see who starts for spurs vs Barcelona midweek first. Spurs need to win at the nou camp to qualify which could be a very draining high intensity game for them.

The starting 11 for tomorrow night should give an indication of who will start next weekend. Alli got a rest for the mid week game last week, Kane and Eriksen last weekend, I'd imagine either Son or Lucas won't start tomorrow. As a Son owner I'm hoping he is on the bench tomorrow in which case I'd seriously consider captaining him, if he plays the majority of the game tomorrow, I'll be worrying he won't start against Burnley.

Might swap out Ricky after tonight for Anderson (the poor man's Salah) Ricky has some tough fixtures.

Fcuk it. -4 and brought in Chicarito for Wilson. His fixtures are just too good. I know he might get benched but he can still score coming on, and worst Billing has good fixtures to come in if needed.

Sane and Zaba to Digne and Son I think

    Leno Hamer
    Digne Bennet AWB Robertson Laporte
    Sterling Son Richarlison Townsend Hojbjerg
    Kane PEA Jimenez

Any thoughts on this one lads?
    2 x Arsenal
    2 x Wolves
    2 x Palace
    2 x City
    And perhaps
    2 x Everton
    2 x Spurs
Is that too small of a spread players wise?

As much at it pains me to say it. You have no cover for the team that's top of the league which seems madness.
