Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This little fella visited the garden yesterday

First one I ever seen that wasn't flat on a road.

    Hi guys,

I climbed up Bray Head at the weekend and spotted this fella, they're not great photos but hoping you could help identify it for me?

When I started the climb there was a signpost that said you can expect to see a kestrel, I've never seen one so not entirely sure if it is.

I use an app to identify birds which it suggests a peregrine falcon but I'm not convinced.

    Nice, thanks for that.

I have the book on identifying birds and wasn’t sure where to look in this instance ha so now I’ll read on sparrowhawk and others I mentioned so that in future I know what to look for.

    Thanks for the response!

I got the following photos in Bray at the weekend, some of my better photos since I started bird watching this year so I'm pretty happy at the moment ha.

    Hi folks,

Hoping for some help on this one.. my initial thoughts was that it was a juvenile goldfinch, but from looking into it I'm starting to sway towards a Linnet but not convinced.. would appreciate some guidance on this one.

I spotted it at Bray Head if that helps.

I remember hearing that the thin house spiders prey on the larger ones. Was surprised and didn't really believe it till I saw this!! I won't be so quick to get rid of them now!:)
