Chatting to one of the lads last night put me off getting a facility for the doomsday heist. The buy in, setup fee, time it takes to complete and payout just doesn't seem worth it. I'd like to try it out if i got invited but it's definitely off my list to buy.

Currently deciding between MC Coke business and Bunker. Helped deliver a bunker sell mission last night and he made over a mil from it but not sure how much money/time is needed to upgrade it to make that kind of money.

Edit: looking for passive money making in between heist/arsing around.

The tiny amount from the arcade is passive but the rest are only partially passive once you've the upgrades so that buying supplies instead of stealing them still turns a profit.

    I'd say bunker.

It's a dead loss, costs you nine grand a day and whilst the Avenger is cool, it's just not worth it.

You can avoid all those fees by jumping to a new server, the fees kick in after an ingame day (48) so I jumped at 43.

Might seem like pocket change but once you own a lot of stuff it all adds up.

It's great to see an active thread on GTA again!

The Cayo Perico Heist is really enjoyable and a very welcome addition. I rarely use the sewer entrance anymore though when I'm doing it. I love using the Alkonost and parachuting into the jungle! I'm also clearly one of the exceptions when it comes to the scope out though as I love scoping out all the secondary targets (you get an award for doing that the first time as well :)). My approach in the heist usually depends on where the cocaine, supply truck, and guard uniforms are. Once you're in uniform you can just drive straight into the compound with the supply truck. I do still need to use the patrol boat approach vehicle but I've done all the others. I like mixing things up rather than use the same one over and over. :)

The disruption missions (although completely optional and almost pointless) are really fun to do in a Hydra. I kinda think it feels like you're sending out the message to El Rubio, "I own this city, bitch", particularly when you're destroying his Buzzards.

^^^ I think you get a 250k bonus for using all different vehicles in approach also!

I just did the Heist with the Vellum approach - I wish I'd known it would set off all the alarms right from the off :D It was much less frustrating this time as I'd succeeded at blowing up the air support, armour and weapons and I'd drugged the guards. I also remembered to pick up the golden gun :)

I'm looking forward to giving it another go, spent all my earnings on extra staff for the Nightclub and brought in some new DJs to liven the place up (it was Quiet and only making 600 bucks a day). Still have an entry point to click on - I think it's one of the Sealth Helicopter spots. But it's great to finally be able to enjoy GTA Online again.

When you're doing your preps, on the prep screen go into Hire Support Crews and purchase the weapon stash for 10k.

It stores your weapons in the hangar so you don't alert the guards when he searches you.

It does alright. There's only two awards left for me to get. That one, and complete with four people which I'll get done eventually.

I've had 3 free trials of amazon prime. Logged in and it's saying they are giving me another 30 days free if I sign up. I checked GTA Online rewards and they are giving a free sonar station for sub and 1 mil over a month. Gonna wait until start of April and see what's on offer then.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,483 ✭✭✭✭Varik

The sub sonar has been part of it for a long while that won't change.

The other prime discounts change every 2 weeks, and this is week 2 for the current ones.

Prime in GTO takes a few days to kick in after you've signed up and signed into the rockstair social club with it.

I did some work for Malc (who I knew from the excellent The Lost and Damned) and it was easy. Minimum I got was around $32,000 and the most I got was $40,000.

Right, so bought a coke business, right beside my clubhouse in Sandy Shores. Upgraded the equipment and staff, left off security as I read you only get raided while you are in an MC so disband until stock is ready to sell. Does that sound right?

So when stock is full, do I get a notification or need to keep an eye on the open road website? I guess the nightclub and arcade help to manage this as well instead of going to either clubhouse or coke house?

Any tips on selling to avoid griefers?

Big thing is not to let yoyr stock get too high if you're selling solo. If it gets higher than one lot of supplies you may need to do double the runs to sell and will unlikely have the time to sell all.

If I'm about to get griefed when selling I just aim to quit to a new session before they get me. You lose a few grand in stock but not much.

Yup you're right not to waste on security. I've never once been raided.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,642 ✭✭✭✭Jordan 199

Zero, does your clubhouse have tables and chairs outside the front?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,402 ✭✭✭jammiedodgers

You get a bonus I think for selling in full lobbies.

You can also get into a public lobby by yourself if you change the MTU value in your internet settings from 1500 to 800. Just remember to change it back after.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,483 ✭✭✭✭Varik

You get a text message when supplies are gone.

Nightclub doesn't do anything for the coke business, all that having a coke business do is unlock a stock item that a completely separate system uses with it's own staff and own upgrades. Having an non-upgrade MC business doesn't matter for the Nightclub production as it's completely sperate and has it's own upgrades.

If you're fine solo selling you can set up a solo lobby with the MTU method to avoid greifing.

I've the security as that few seconds after you sell product A and before you leave MC you can get raided, in most cases you can just kill the game and that'll stop it but for those other times having the extra time between potential raids helps. If you're quick killing the game and don't mind restarting it's fine without.

Don't think so, just a gas station in Chaparral.

Me and a few friends were on the other night and I bought the sub and the chopper so can do the perico heist, were all a little rusty and were quite drunk but had a good laugh. Chopper being two man meant one had to stay behind which isn't great but not the end of the world.

Think were on the last mission and hope to finish it tonight. I'm pretty broke now having spent all the login cash but I have every type of vehicle I could want really, the APC is a stupidly fun vehicle, multiple armed and armored vehicles, two attack choppers, two boats, multiple sports/fast cars,a few motorbikes and a really nice bicycle:D

Load times still suck but they are better than PS4

You don't need to be in the sub to start or take part in any of the prep missions for the heist. Once they're in your MC/CEO/VIP they're part of the prep.

The host could stay in the sub and the other 2 could be around the island waiting for a marker to pop up. Having the host back at the sub to restart each mission, as 1 person returns to the sub with the item while the last player is ready for the next prep.

That's exactly the way it should be set up in fairness. Once you have more money then security is a nice bonus as raids can actually be quite common. It depends what level you sell at though as the raid timer only starts when product only goes above 20%/40% or something.

Just on sales, once you get used to all the sale vehicles and routes, all sales can be done solo with the exception of Post Op Vans. Post Ops are really slow, but also you need to get out and actually run to the door every time to post the package.

Seaplanes and Garbage trucks would be pushing it but you should be able to have them done with 3-5 minutes to spare at least.

You'll get three vehicles each time if you sell a full business (except for motorbikes where there's four but only one drop for each, and also the single truck which is also the one drop and is by far the best sale vehicle to get for obvious reason).

It sounds like you have the Alamo Sea Coke factory as well which is probably the best one so good choice there. It's weird because I think the best Coke, Meth, and Cash ones are also the cheapest ones. One would think that Rockstar would make the Paleto Bay ones the cheapest as they're by far the worst. On that note, never buy any businesses in Paleto Bay. Ever!

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,482 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

Paleto bay was tempting as there's so many businesses there. I'm guessing with the multi vehicle drops, i deliver one, call my Sparrow, get the next vehicle, despawn my Sparrow and call it again when make the next drop etc. Sounds like it's catered for an crew like an actual drug running MC. I think it's a class addition anyway, even if I'll get sick of it eventually. I had 5 mil and now down to a measly 2 though so I'm definitely have to keep pumping away on Perico in between if I'm going to get the bunker and arcade next followed by other smaller businesses to keep money plugging away.

With Raids, if i don't have security, what happens? Gangs/cops take some of my supply or stop production?

For the sales, it's usually five drops per vehicle (for the three vehicle sales) so you'd take one vehicle, do the five drops, call your Sparrow/Oppressor Mk II, and get the next vehicle.

You also get two selling options, local or remote. Remote pays far more, but just takes longer to complete. If your business is in Blaine County the you'll be selling into the City, and vice versa. That means if your businesses are in Paleto, you'll still be selling into the city!

Raids are fairly easy to defend in truth. Only thing is that if you die once, you fail the raid and your business gets shut down. You're given plenty of time to complete it though so patience is key as sometimes it involves a truck that you need to return to the business and if you go in all missiles blazing you'll more than likely blow up the truck and fail the raid :pac:. If you're not in a position to defend a raid (maybe your on the other side of the map) then you can quite to story mode or close the app, but the raid will still be waiting there for you the next time you register as a President. This just gives you a chance to prepare (mainly to just be closer to the business). They mainly just involve either cops or gangs (kinda depending on which business is being raided actually). With coke I think it's just cops.

Going to invest in a fighter jet today. Any recommendations? The B 11 seems the most popular based on YouTube. Just want it for general roam and killing.

It's hard to look past the Lazer or the Hydra. Of those, I prefer the Hydra simply because it's got VTOL which makes it easier to land anywhere so it's "reusable".

    Which heists payout the most?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,483 ✭✭✭✭Varik

So there are Pegasus aircraft that you can just buy and then show up when you call them, these don't replace your normal car so you can call them and drive over to it. Some open world missions won't let you call a Pegasus vehicle in and can despawn the one you have.

There are proper personal aircraft too, these need to be stored in a hangar which you need to buy them. the proper personal vehicles don't have all their weapons by default so even after buying a hangar and a mechanic and the aircraft you've still to spend some more. Personal aircraft do replace your car when you call them in, so you've either to steal something to go to them or have another vehicles from abilities or Pegasus to get there. After you have a hangar you can call a Pegasus vehicle in and then park it in the hangar to get a second one both of which can be called, so you can call 1 Pegasus aircraft and a personal aircraft copy. But the colour is the only thing that can be changed.

Laser is very expensive even when on sale, it's 6.5m and a Pegasus vehicle. Very fast, good gun, and no flares/counter measures.

B 11 is cheaper at 3.8m , but it's a personal vehicle so you need a hangar and then to spend more for misses and countermeasures. The main gun sounds better but it's actually worse than the Lasers one by a tiny bit. The B 11 also has the better missiles but you've to buy the upgrade and they're not unlimited you've only got 20 or 30.

Hydra is a 3.99m or 3m if you've done the humane raid aircraft carrier missions, it's got the same weapons as the laser but also has flares and can hover. It's a Pegasus vehicle but as it's Vtol it can spawn anywhere a helicopter or a plane can so you've not got far to go.

If you've already got the Sub and it's sparrow (with missiles), then I'd say the Hydra is best. I've got a load of the planes and the Laser isn't on my list of things to get.

Could also get the buzzard as if you're a CEO/VIP you can near spawn that.

Plane wise def go for Hydra.

cayo perico by miles, not only is it the biggest payout but the setup cost is tiny compared to the rest and can be done solo.

Yup! Great to see there still life in the old dog! :D

All the old GTA forum threads (although they’re most likely all outdated now) are still available in The Attic. They’re ‘read only’ for the moment but anything GTA related anyone wishes to post can be posted in this thread for the time being. The GTA forum would be reopened if & when it takes off again.

Same for me on PS, wouldn't mind getting doomsday and casino heists but they're too expensive for me to setup at the moment and with Perico, i can see why people are only doing that.

Speaking of, i have Perico scoped on hard difficulty, necklace and 5 stashes of gold in the compound, handy 800k each for a 3 person crew. I'll be on around half 10.
