Hot fm now using demo versions of software. I can hear adverts for Break away software every so often on the FM signal saying this is a demo version of Break away and to visit a web site for information.

Or a debit card! Hardly the most expensive software.

Literally not a cent put into the station. Imagining is awful, audio is demo software, all ad's voiced by Frank, only DJ is Frank. Signal is about alright I suppose.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 56 ✭✭SWR meter

Considering the amount of ads they are running for all sorts of things they should spend a few quid on the software they use and new imaging. But we know that wont happen!! He has turned it into profit extracting mode.

Is Frank selling holidays and trips to Benidrom? I wonder if he is licensed and bonded to do that. Probably not. That may attract more attention than the unlicensed broadcasting part of his enterprise.

So, dear Comreg - please hurry up and do the needful!

Is RDS present ? - if it is it makes matters worse as car radios would be liable to switch to silence in areas where there is a usable signal from one of their other transmitters (but where 104.7 would be similar strength or stronger)

Strong signal on that carrier. Here's what I measured earlier (Leixlip area):

    88.1 - Standby - 44dB
    91.0 - HOT FM - 55dB
    94.3 - PVR - 42dB
    107.1 - TRAX - 44db

Maintenance on the stream only according to the Facebook page, I would expect it will return shortly.

    How ?
Unfortunately none of the 3 frequencies can give city/county wide coverage so it makes a lot of sense to combine and have live programming all day long something which none of the stations could achieve as independent stations.

    Also on 1395AM btw
