Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What's wrong with quick park? Always find them great

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 126 ✭✭JoeCat

It's a long story (related to a delayed flight and the way they treat you). I explained it in my blog mentioned above.

Has anyone ever heard of the Airport Parking called "Smart Park Dublin"? Anyone can recommend it? I see on their website that you need to call them when you get to the airport so that they will pick you up. Is that correct?

I found a discount using the website looking4parking and the code Twitter20, it cost 60 EUR for 3 weeks (compared to 90 EUR in QP and 96 EUR in DAA).

Also, has anyone used this website to book a Parking? Is it reliable?

WOOF is working €10 off, CINEMA is working €9 off the €90 3 weeks price, must check out taxis myself

    Hi JoeCat,

Yes, I used to "Smart Park Dublin" and found it very good. I parked there for just over 3 weeks, it was easily the cheapest option.

The only things to note are that it is about 10 mins drive from the airport and the car is parked outside.

The guy brings you to the airport and picks you up again no problem (we waited about 5 mins for him) and the car would also be outside in the other long term car parks anyway.

Twitter20 doesn't work for me. The best i can get for 14days is QP 42€ with WOOF.

Yea I've used looking for parking. Perfectly fine

Any parking codes for Quickpark? WOOf and CINEMA make the booking system say that the carpark is full.

If you leave the code section blank, it doesn't say that its full!

  • Registered Users Posts: 224 ✭✭gumgum1

Probably has been said all ready but
If you are flying with Ryan air book your daa car park through them . There prices are cheaper than daa itself. Booking with them saved me five euro on a four day trip. But do not leave it till the last minute as it takes up to 6 hours for your confirmation e-mail to come. Hope this helps someone as the previous discount saved me a few euro .

Any luck with a code? WOOF works if you're booking a few weeks in advance. I need to park this friday (short notice)

No, I'm leaving Friday too, ended up paying full amount, left it too late and was travelling for two and a half weeks. Tried every trick thats mentioned in the last few pages, but no joy.

    Ah well, live and learn!

Do you know how much in advance you need to book? Going in 2 weeks.

Not sure, I looked last week and I think WOOf was working then on QuickPark. I'd say book it now to be sure!

I am traveling for 2 weeks in Septembe . Do you think some discount would come out by then? Or is it better to book now?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,252 ✭✭✭joeysoap

Tried QP without codes - €85, put in WOOF - nothing else changed and amount reduces to €82 and then the €10 discount. €85 reduced to €72 by a friendly bark.

And here - interestingly it was cheaper to stay for a week (36-10 =26) than 6 days (40-10=30)...

I'm finding that too. Booking for 5 days in September but when I put in an extra 2 days I get the week rate. Is there any issue when exiting the car park I wonder?

I booked parking at 3 today in Dublin airport through my Ryanair booking for a flight tomorrow but no confirmation email yet apart from updated payment and itinerary. Do they send a code to access the car park.

Edit: Got the confirmation, 12 hours after booking.

Not related to offer codes, but quick part introduced premium service recently, you leave your car in the premium area, they part it for you, on your return day it will ready for you to collect. Today they were offering the service for free.

Premium is hilarious. They have all the cars in one colossal pile in the newly done-up area with no space at all between them. God knows how long it takes to get the middle one out.

WOOF worked in QP last week

Seems to be some issue with getting out of the QP car park as in a delay.
Automatic reg plate recognition did not work and the scanner reading the bar codes was not working properly
So what should have taken 1 minute took about 10 minutes (this was due to 3 cars in front of me having a similar problem)

T2 Pick up: This is not an issue as QP pick up is located between T1 & T2, so a 3 minute walk from T2 will take you to the pick up point.

So - yes will use again

Used WOOF last week and saved a bit. Used bar code last Wed and returned yesterday. No problems entering or exiting QP.
I always take a screenshot of the bar code and use the phone to enter and exit. Never any issues.

Might have just been on the night, but scanner was not reading off phones or paper. Not the end of the world anyway :)

Just tried booking now for November. WOOF works for Quickpark but not for the DAA car parks.

It has nothing to do with DAA, it relates to Quickpark's sponsorship of Greyhound racing

WOOF still valid for quickpark...worked out €3 cheaper than the DAA blue car park for a week (€26 instead of €29)

    Thank you.

    Thank you.

I booked 4 days last week. Was going to use long term blue (€28) and when I started the pay sequence it asked me if I was interested in an upgrade, short term T2 €33. This was originally shown as €44 on the first page

  • Registered Users Posts: 140 ✭✭sushmita

Thank you. Did you create an account or log in?
I tried without registering, unfortunately it's not giving me the same option that you had.

  • Registered Users Posts: 59 ✭✭oEmmao

mine went from €49 to €38 with the code 'WOOF'

    thanks guys :pac:

any codes for DAA car parks? Short term T2 specifically

any codes for DAA car parks? Short term T2 specifically

I don't think DAA are doing codes anymore - they seem to have a new "upgrade" offer that you only see once you select which car park you want.
I booked for a day trip this weekend and was going to use the red car park for €8.50 but when I clicked on it, the next screen offered me an "upgrade" to the T1 Car Park C Short Term for an extra €6.50 so I took that.

So the short term car park price basically went from €20 to €15 without any code.

    Hope this helps,
    cheers,
    sw

Yeah I tried that but the upgrade option just added up to the same price! Not travelling for a while, will keep trying, thanks.

Thanks for the DAA upgrade tip, Cunstunt!
My weekend parking instantly went from €41 to €37 for one extra button click! :)

it worked for me, but its a bit funny.

    enter no code price: €28
enter Woof and the price is: €36 €26
enter CINEMA and the price is: €28 €25.20

so they jack up the price for woof, and then mark it down. and CINEMA is the cheapest.
