    This. Added to which Galtieri launched the whole misadventure as a propaganda exercise to revive his popularity at home, something that's bad when US presidents do it, but obviously that's a flexible principle... :D

    even beria didnt get his hands dirty with executions. the only person he is known to have killed personally is the guy he replaced.

    This is a rather negative tread. How could Stalin be the worst dictator ? He is leaps and bounds, head and shoulders for being probably one of the best models for a promising despot to look up to.

    So whose the best despot and why ?

    Surely, the worst deposit is some who was extremely incompetent and wasn’t very good at killing people, especially the right people and rather timely lost his crown

    Pol Pot is the worst for me. He practically brought Cambodia back to the stone age and murdered millions of his own people.
