Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have the Getflix lifetime sub but that doesn't let you watch Netflix Us on a Smart TV.

I have the KeepSolid DNS which allows me to watch US Netflix on android devices but NOT my (Samsung) Smart TV.
Thanks for the heads-up on the Getflix DNS - was temped to sign up to see if it worked on my Smart TV.

I don't know of any DNS that works for US Netflix on a Smart TV.

My 2c: Signed up for KeepSolid on Friday and installed the app on my MiBox 3 no problem. BBC iPlayer (via Kodi) was pretty bad with the buffering on Friday night and unwatchable on Sunday afternoon on multiple UK servers. Have had to revert to the Hola app, which is not very secure sadly but which does the job.

re: Netflix, I switched over to the US Netflix and saw some sluggishness in the menus loading pictures, noticed no content differences yet. For testing purposes, anyone got any idea what I can look for that's definitely on the US Netflix that isn't available here?

Check for the US version of The Office (with Steve Carell).

I signed up for a Lifetime sub for Keep Solid DNS ,will test it on Smart TV later .
Hopefully it works but not confident after what you said

The Getflix non Lifetime sub works on a Smart TV I believe.

To be clear, I have the KeepSolid DNS annual-sub. (I do have the KeepSolid VPN lifetime-sub, but can't see a way to use this VPN for the Smart TV.)

Is there a functional difference between annual-subs and lifetime subs for DNS services?

I think its just Getflix that have the Netflix difference to encourage annual subs.
    Everything else is the same.
US Netflix is supported on every device for 1, 3, 6, 12 and 24 month paid subscribers! Lifetime and trial accounts are supported on web browsers only.

    Anyone used PureVPN?
I got a lifetime subscription for €60 a few weeks ago.
Works grand on the phone and PC.
The app on the firestick seems to not have split tunneling though. Or am I missing something.
My brother got a lifetime subscription to it about 4 years ago and says its great but he doesnt have a firestick, so i cant ask him how i use it on the firestick.

    Pure VPN
FYI There is a designated BBC iPlayer server. Scroll down to the end of the servers. Netflix iPlayer ect there haven't tried Netflix. Using it for two years now had Nord at the same time speed's identical

Bought KeepSolid VPN lifetime subscription, iplayer works great on my android devices however the All4 Channel 4 app doesn't, is there anything else I need to do?

all4 doesn't work with a VPN, you turn it off and it works fine in IRL

Check for the US version of The Office (with Steve Carell).

Pretty sure that's on Peacock now. But I found some differences confirming it works, thanks. Sadly the buffering is unbearable.

Mine is working perfectly on FS. Are you using the streaming, iPlayer location and not a generic UK one.

One issue I'm having with it is that even though I have it switched off Disney plus won't play as it says it has detected a vpn. Any solutions?

Just for those asking. I have this lifetime And just tested both Netflix USA and bbc iPlayer and they both worked on my iPhone. Searched for the office on Netflix and got the American one. Turned it off and got the UK one.

On a side note. Why do people want American Netflix? Is there somewhere you can go to see what USA has access to that we don’t?

Justwatch is a great app for checking whats available on all services across different countries. Gives a daily list of newly added movies and shows.

Hi yes using the bbc iplayer location, it just gives the error 02100 which is the same oddly as if I don't turn the VPN on at all, the VPN works fine with iplayer on my macbook and imac just not the Firestick.

Change the iplayer ip when you're on the firestick, connect & reconnect a couple of times.
Another tip someone posted was don't go back to the same programme that gave the error, try another first with the different IP.

I haven't been using it much lately but it's not worked as well since that iPlayer outage they had

Has anyone got this working for US prime, I tried the dedicated server and no luck. I just signed up for a 7 day trail on prime video so will likely cancel if it doesnt work.

as far as I know Amazon set your region on their side and there is no way to circumvent it. I believe it is either done through the address you use for delivery and/or the home country of the credit card you use to pay.

A lot of folks here on Boards were able to contact Amazon to have their "home" country changed to UK, allowing the Premier League football (which was not part of the Irish package) but I'm not sure that would fly if you were to ask to be switched to the US?

Anyone been having issues with BBC iPlayer on VPN today? On laptop, tablet and firestick it's not working. Turn it off and the page loads, but then it's no use because you can't watch anything then.

I hope not. Just tried my VPN I use for work and the player worked without issue. I'll have to give the firestick a go again today.

My smartDNS is working fine on both.
Both those providers are engaged in blocking any servers they identify and have been for years.
Changing the DNS server or just disconnect/reconnect always work for me.

Anyone got any thoughts on Tunnelbear?. I just acquired an Apple TV to stream the bbc player from my phone and have been recommended to use the above. However, have seen some negative comments, admittedly from rival van providers. Would welcome input

Just notices since Brexit, My prime video account will not play anything really except amazon's own content and Britbox has stopped working also.

Not sure what server I should set my VPN to, it seems to be blocking my service.

I tried signing up for Britbox several times recently using my revolut card. It keeps saying that the card has to be registered in the UK. Just wondering how you managed to sign up? Any help would be appreciated thank you!

Does keepsolid have a UK smart DNS option? I cannot seem to find a VPN/smart DNS provider for watching UK Prime content. I've a few TVs in the house, no way to install a VPN. DOn't want to go installing a VPN router either.

I am a graduate of a UK university and I had a UK based university account based on Gmail.

I also needed a UK based GMAIL account to set my LG TV as a UK TV so that I could get google assistant to work. I logged into the UK on my laptop on the VPN and it created a new Gmail account and it was set up as a UK account. I then added this account to my google home account.

When you have your UK Google email account, then you pay by Google Pay using that account and when you click on Google Pay, enter your Irish Card.

Used Prime for first time in a few days and also noticed a lot of the free content unavailable in my region pop up.
Android TV so installed NordVPN on the TV, selected UK and voila, all Prime free content back watchable

I've an LG and can only use GetFlix where I set the DNS on the TV to Getflix DNS and you control the settings via the Getflix app

In the same boat Del007. I've been testing various services this week and getflix was the only one I got working from our smart TVs.
They have a trial period too fyi.
