    It's not that it's a joke, it's that no one agrees with you.

    Pretty much everyone is in agreement that a mod should be selected for the quality of their posts, being able to debate a point without getting nasty, etc. Not for what gender they happen to be.

    I completely agree. I've never suggested that a mod be selected for his or her gender alone.

    But are female posters somehow less capable of making quality posts or debating respectfully?

    If not, why is the ratio of male to female mods 10 to 0 in AH and 10 to 1 in CA?

    It's just depressing that someone I would normally respect hugely is now just pushing this poisonous culture war nonsense that we've imported wholesale from the US.

    Interesting that we have 2 posters on this thread who have closed their account, one has had their username anonymised and the other hasn't. Is it a box-tick when closing, or what?

    Fingal County Council are certainly not competent to be making decisions about the most important piece of infrastructure on the island. They need to stick to badly designed cycle lanes and deciding on whether Mrs Murphy can have her kitchen extension.

Just because we have the same biological parts doesn't mean we have more in common with someone of the same sex when it comes to values, opinions, prejudices.
    As long as people can fulfil the role of mod, their sex is irrelevant. Sure, on certain topics posters might feel more comfortable with one over the other not for all.
