Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi sorry for OT but how do you know it's taxed and tested... Is there somewhere online you can check?

driving Cork Dublin today saw an Opel Kadett and a Audi 80 (ancient one - not the one from the late 80s) and a 1990 toyota corolla - looked like there was some vintage yoke on - the Opel was in pristine condition

Spotted a Aston Marton DB4, 5 or 6 in my mirror on the M50 today. Got off at Dundrum I think.
Year was somewhere from 58-71 depending on the model.

Just out of shot on the left, there was a red 87 Sierra hatchback, completely original. Anyone who knows the area should know the car, its lovely. Couldn't get to it in time :(.

It was in a garage and doesn't seem to be taxed so probably not actually on the road.

Old Toyotas have survived in large enough numbers down your way, nd.

All those were from the local mart. I suppose Toyota's were popular with farmers back then.

Saw a Vauxhall/Opel Calibra this morning - it flew past our farmyard gate - hence why I don't know a) what year it was or (b an Opel or a Vauxhall.

The newest of them was around 97 or thereabouts - they came out in 1990.

Still a stunning looking car - why GMs beancounters didn't give it - its own chassis and make it a proper Corrado rival in the driving stakes ive no idea.

Didn't know this thread was here.

Last month I spotted a Mk II Escort, poverty-spec, hearing aid beige paint job that looked like it was done recently but with a yard brush (or else the shell was badly prepped prior to painting - looked 'lumpy') and a red rear plate - ZV I think.

Last weekend, a rather tired looking silver Toyota Carina II saloon - either 90 or 91. A delivery truck came between us so I couldn't see the plate as it moved away from the traffic lights.

Both spotted on the south quays in Cork.
