Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yes, agreed. I viewed a different video yesterday. If 3 x SH there I wonder was it at 10 as he played u18 school at OH I think.

Not a bad shout there very light at 10 considering Cathal Forde is back up to Crowley, a player that was behind doak for 18s last year and hasn’t broken into the corinthians rfc first team.. hopefully Crowley can stay fit, looks the real deal

He is still in school he won't be backing anyone up during the 6 nations

All the other countries select players that are still in school only a matter of time before we do too

Is there any chance Alex Kendellen will be involved in this campaign? He was the standout forward in last year's under 18 side.

any that are in school elsewhere will have proper connections to pro set ups which isnt the case here. It isnt going to happen here any time soon

Which is probably why his up and under in his own 22 straight to the French 15 who scored wasn't a great idea.

He played two years of schools didn't he? How often does that happen?

Cheers. Didn’t realise he was that young, serious prospect.

He played in that u18 tournament the past 2 years. Karl Martin has done the same, the Leinster centre. He was the pick of the backs for me in last season’s tournament. I think he might well be eligible again this year too. The first year he played he had not long turned 16. Made his Leinster U18 clubs debut as a 15 year old too.

Is it expected that Aaron Sexton will be back playing 15’s full-time next season? Shame he won’t play for the 20’s this year, although I’m sure he’ll learn a lot from his 7’s experience.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,996 ✭✭✭realhorrorshow

Culliton, Dunne, and Kilgallen all starting for wegians this weekend. Culliton’s first game I think.

A shame really surely 20s would be a better learning experience than development 7s, playing with some lads who aren’t even in pro environments

I don’t think sexton would’ve been a nailed on starter anyway tbh. Smith and McIlroy are two very capable wingers from what I’ve seen of them. Could’ve added depth and healthy competition to the squad which would have been nice.

Wonder if the Ireland team will be massacred by injuries this year, last year was the best team ive seen Ireland produced yet didnt make it as far as the Ryan team

French U20 squad out - second row Joshua Brennan (son of Trevor, brother of Dan) included and featured on the42. Jordan Joseph also included - not sure how many of the others are returning from last year but Vanvergerghe is the only other name which sounds familiar.

Anyone know when our own squad will be named?

Should be named today! I expect they're already traing.

The player you should watch is Matthias Haddad-Victor. He has already impressed the Senior French team Staff this week.
He was world champion last year at 18 only

    20 leinster players is absurd

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,615 ✭✭✭Dubinusa

Only a couple from St Michael's! Any real standouts?
Each year it's hit or miss for us, either a very deep talented squad, like the 16 squad or a handful of prospects with not much depth! Last year's was good, but the injury jinx crippled us in Argentina.

    not surprising though.
2 from Waterford is great to see. Dungarvans ahearn is real class unit.

    why focus on Michael's.....
Of course its hit or miss each year. Its age grade rugby that will always be the case.

Just the mass production line out of St Michael's recently. I am amazed at the quality coming out of there. That's why I was surprised.

Can play both sides of the scrum, was TH last year for the U20s against England but has been playing LH for Leinster A.

Sometimes the Scottish rugby Youtube channels play these then sometimes they dont, anywhere apart from RTE showing the game?

They usually geo block these games in NI which is really annoying.

It's good to know the IRFU want to spread the gospel .....just not too far.....:D. The money is just resting in their account. Their business plan bangs on about inclusivity. I think they got that word wrong re t.v. coverage.
