Thought the innocent was great! Lot going on it in!

Got stuck into this this weekend! I don't usually mind watching crime series but some of the scenes in this are particularly gruesome / violent / stomach turning.

Loved it. There have been a few Coben adaptations for Netflix, most have been sketchy. This was a high quality production, however. Pacing was really good and the acting was very strong across the board.

Started a Dutch/Belgian series called Undercover today. 3 episodes in and it looks promising.

I've read a few of his books and found them quite colour by numbers so the source material could be as much to blame

So, bit late to the party on Things Heard and Seen.

Fantastic movie with great performances.....until the last 10-15 minutes or so when it actually falls asunder completely.

Such a frustrating watch. I'd almost have preferred if it was just awful throughout, but it's not at all.

I am fine with the ending in theory, but the way it was handled was awful - felt horribly rushed, one of those classic "Right, we've got two minutes to wrap things up" situations that leaves you thinking "....what?" as the end credits start rolling.

Completely at odds with the rest of the movie tone and style wise, came off a bit cheap and tacky, like some of those early 2000's generic US horror movies.

Has to be one of the worst examples of squandered potential I've seen in a really long time. The actors were too good for the material, really can't fault them at all.

    Fargo!

Just came onto this a week or so ago, almost done Season 2,brilliant series!

Well written, well shot, well acted. Very dark, quite violent, probably not everyone's cup of tea, but one of the best series I've seen to date. Highly recommended based on what I've seen so far.

Kingdom is a very good Korean zombie series. I really enjoyed it. It's 2 seasons. Its dubbed. I don't mind this because it is well done. Well worth a watch

I really enjoyed Undercover, S1 & S2. The villain's are kind of cartoon villain's but very enjoyable.

If they had done something better with ending, and had a little more activity in the first half hour, it would have been a decent movie. The scenes re the oxygen cannisters were tense.
But ultimately the ending was so flat, it just ruined everything.

Is there a recommendation thread for movies in general beside the Netflix and Prime threads?

There's a 'What I watched recently' thread you could follow.

    Cheers for the response anyway.

He starred in a neonoir called The Kid Detective last year. It's on google play. I'd recommend it fairly unreservedly to a Brody fan. Gentle self-deprecating humour with a couple of well-earned bittersweet moments.

Saw this on TV a few weeks/months ago. Really good but also unbelievable that they were able to carry it out. You'll have to watch it to find out why. :)

I was slightly worried it would be kind of awful like the last Harlan Coben I saw on Netflix The Stranger but this is good so far!

I just finished The Stranger last night. Yeah, it was pretty objectively awful but it passed the time.

I enjoyed it, I wasn't too clued in about the case bar the summer of Sam movie from a few years ago so I found it interesting.
