Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

there is and will be dedicated pvp. it wasn't popular in Div 1. I played very little. you were either getting smashed or doing the smashing. there are mixed pve/pvp zones called dark zones for looty escapades

Not sure I’d like to pvp part. I didn’t in gears of war but I played horde mode to death in Gears2 so that might be up my alley.

Played the missions through. It’s good alright. Only at level 5, can get to level 10 according to the internet.

Just played 1 hour of the beta and it seems good, very much like the first one, forgotten how much i played the first 1 till i seen my stats again.
Confusing editions of the game with year passes thrown in, seems very steep

Just played about 20 minutes of the open beta. Really enjoyed the private one and happy waiting for the full release in 2 weeks so will leave it off till then. Roll on Paddy's weekend.

  • Registered Users Posts: 853 ✭✭✭DeadlyByDesign

Said I wasn't gonna play and seen all I had to see in private beta and was happy. Broke hard and spent about 3 hours with it over the weekend!

Good changes, grenade spam seem to have gotten better. Did it get a difficulty bump though? I remember I tore through the MLK Library side mission in the private. I got wrecked by the last boss "Pebbles" so many times last night wasnt even funny. I was level 3 going in, was this a level 4 mission? Also I sued to be able to checkpoints with relative ease, but it was damn tough taking them during the weekend. Not complaining just wondering if there was a difficulty bump.

the division 1 was pretty tough at stages when you were levelling up. much like any game of it's ilk if you take a wrong tun and run into the wrong enemy you can be in trouble. I remember doing one of the missions and it took about 1/2 an hour, all my bullets and much of my sanity and that was just the boss.

I've noticed that Gimili. It's not afraid of the hard punish if you walk in unprepared or dont respond to a flank and just think "ill get away with it..", spoiler- you wont

Find it very, very difficult to see anything.

What do you mean? To dark?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,353 ✭✭✭✭TitianGerm

It's hard to explain... it's simultaneously washed out looking and blurry while still being quite detailed and it's really hurting my eyes. Ironically, when it's night time it's much better. I've played around with the visual settings but it's still hard on my eyes.

Can't say I've had that now. What platform are you on?

Do you have a HDR display?

I think I have the 3 day early access. Presumably I can play it Tuesday? I probably will wait till Friday anyway tbh cos if I start midweek I may not go into work.
Pre-load should be up this weekend for early access .
All of us foaming at the mouth for a ubisoft day one release. What could possibly go wrong?

Posted before but for anyone who hasn't seen it and is chugging along the hype train, this is actually really well done, Ubi definitely nailed the different vibes.

I always find with these decisions whichever we you go you'll always have some regret so may as well get the more expensive one. You may as well be unhappy with more stuff.

3 page preview of the new Lore division book coming out on 19th march. Art, lore and timelines linking the 2 games. Sounds good.

I have that dilemma as well now...:confused:if I got even half the number of hours I got out D1 then I think it will be worth it. But I think I would get the same amount of hours if a didn't get the gold. I think it might eat me up seeing guys getting a jump on gear and missions etc a week early though.

I think I'm temped to get the gold alright

So basically with the year 1 pass you just get the content 7 days early ?

Yeah I think there are some other additional missions/events in game you can do and obviously you get a bunch of skins clothes and an exotic gun. Also you get a lot more stash space as well and in a looting game that's kinda useful.....

I got it for the stash space but this piece subsequently got very vague and now I'm not so sure.
Some of the premium editions on games now are woeful, BFV for example seems to be weekly dlc skins and they're nothing spectacular. You'd be pretty annoyed having bought it for that particularly as the game went 50% off in a matter of weeks.

The extra stash space is only with the ultimate edition. Copied this from reddit
In general, players will start with 50 slots in the game. This stash space can be increased through 3 upgrade steps as perks by spending SHD Tech which they can accumulate from playing the game. These upgrade steps unlock 20, 30 and 50 slots respectively. This means that all players can get a total of 150 slots. The last upgrade step of 50 slots can only be unlocked when the player is level 30.

Players who own the Ultimate Edition are awarded this final upgrade step from the beginning of the game, which means they will have a strong and convenient head start with 100 stash space slots at level 1, without having to spend any SHD Tech. Furthermore, it costs more SHD Tech to purchase this TIER 3 upgrade step of 50 slots than most perks which gives Ultimate Edition players the benefit to spend their valuable SHD Tech elsewhere.

Simply Games send with Royal mail standard post and it takes between 3 and 5 working days to arrive.

I only ever played through The Division 1 with 1 character. Spun up a new character last night and forgot how cool Brooklyn was, eerily quiet. Nice to be low level again as I had forgotten a lot of the early parts of the game. Just 1 more week (for non ultimate edition owning peasants).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

I made 5 characters, actually deleted one fully levelled one so I could go back and get some staring white gear.
It's always funny starting anew and realising how hard everything is without all your upgrades. Although I don't really want to make multiple characters again I'll do it if it has the same farming and stash benefits this time round. They better cap the number available or I could go ridiculous.

Mind me asking, where does a filthy lurker like myself group with some players more in my time zone? I've been using the official discord channel since I came back for the 1.8 patch and while it's fine it's very US centric which means poor latency.

Well this will have a clan system with up to 50 members so hopefully we'll have boards clans for pc, PS4 and Xbox. Should have people online the same time as you then.

Speaking of, if anyone is on this early next week and creates a boards clan, can you post the details on here so we can join.

I have early access so I can do so on the PC.

Has anyone a source as to whether they're cross platform or not? I wouldn't expect them to be, but the articles I've checked don't give any info.

I doubt they are cross platform. Daddy Sony doesn't like us mixing with the bold baba's on pc and Xbox.

Should have plenty of space with 50 people on each platform to invite people on here and buddies too.
