Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Darn :(, didn't know that. Got US Netflix so I guess that's a start. If anyone has any suggestions and can message me I'd appreciate it.

You can get it the same way you get Netflix US. You can also get hulu, hbo and disney if you want to pay for them

None of the apps are appearing for me though and Prime is staying in the UK catalogue.

Is yours a first generation one?

If so, upgrade now when they're half price, cos the gen1s will break your heart.

It's the hd one. So new one. Got it when it was down in price last time. Just haven't unpacked yet.

Thought maybe it wouldn't work in Ireland since I had to ship to addresspal

Nevermind, Netflix is noticing it's a VPN too and not streaming anything. Seems even UK content isn't working.
Anyone have any suggestions? I'd really appreciate it.

Have you tested the phone apks for those?
try asking in the nvidia shield thread in the Android forum, might have more luck than here

Virgin player works OKish with firefox but when you go full screen, the bar at the bottom of the player won't disappear, very annoying.

The tg4 app on the amazon store is useless too, tried it there recently. Hasn't been updated.

Get access to American Netflix and UK streaming services.
I got the Netflix library but it detects I'm using a proxy, Other UK streaming sites aren't working either.

    I'm using KeepSolid VPN Unlimited.

com.twentyfouri.tvbridge.rte.apk is the apk file, this is not a link.

    Heres what I did

Download apk file to phone. Here is the link :

    http://www.mediafire.com/file/qs19ckwk78ycisw/com.twentyfouri.tvbridge.rte.apk/file

    Install cetusplay on your phone

Use the cetusplay app on your phone to transfer and install the apk file to the firestick.

I looked into this a few days ago. AFAIK a sideloaded now TV app is never going to work, there are extra Sky blocks on them, think you have to wait for an official firestick release...which may never happen.

Has it normally worked for you through your firestick?

Try getting a different IP address from the VPN if it won't play anything. Just reconnect until it changes, then remember that one if it works

And you don't need a vpn for all4 if you didn't know

Just downloaded this to my phone, and sent it to my fire stick through Easy Fire Tools. No ads & some shows are HD it appears, watching toy show now.

Cheers, yeah, meant ITV and BBC really. Tbh though I have the US one sorted now. I changed my amazon region to America and a few other things. Might see if it's possible to get an APK so I can get UK apps too if thats possible.

For prime video on the stick After doing all the address/card(revolut)/one click etc changes to uk you need to ask them to set your Prime video territory to uk and you’re done.

    Right.
This yoke arrived last week and I just plugged it in.
All updates done, and it’s registered to my Amazon account.
So what would recommend I install now?

Kinda bought on impulse as my OLED already has Prime, Netflix, etc.

Have it powered from one of the USB ports on the tv, but when I ask Alexa to turn on/off the tv, it says there’s not enough power or something.
Do I need to plug it in?
I’ve seen an adapter on Amazon to take power from the USB to power it. Will that work?

Take a look at the installation instructions, it clearly states you power the stick via the power adapter.

    I know that.

But all my sockets behind the tv are full, and I’ve seen the usb power adapter thing on Amazon.
So it’s currently being powered by the usb, and has done all updates, etc. through that.
I’m wondering if it had more power (from the power or usb adaptor), would it turn on/off the tv via Alexa.

And more importantly, what to install.

Shouldn't be hard to test based on your setup should it.
You need to enable cec on your TV assuming you have it. I'd reckon that's the issue.
From what I cud see 5W power was needed mainly for video processing and other stuff needed less. So more power for streaming h265 probably.
I have an option on Alexa for this too and it doesn't work. I'm guessing it's because my TV likely isn't cec.

Re what to install, depends what you want to do. I mean you can install Skype if you want to call people or pornhub if you are into adult material. Why would you ask what do I install. What do you want to do?

I plugged mine into the USB Socket of my Sky Box and it is working perfectly. Read it on another forum and tried it and no issues so far

One of the most expensive VPNs but also the most reliable. Its been flawless for me getting Hbo, Hulu, prime US, Netflix US and Disney plus. Well worth the money in my opinion

Real Debrid instead of a vpn for streaming anything, it masks torrents & streams are fine, and Smartdnsproxy. com for all the uk/us players and us Netflix. Neither have let me down over the years.

so prime video wont work on this for me, when i contacted amazon they advised it is because i am using it in ROI ( my amazon account is based in the uk)

any way around this, i have tried using VPN to no joy. its a bit annoying that an amazon product seems to be the only thing i am having trouble with.

Its the new app on the latest firestick thats causing the problem. Install the older version of the app and that will work. Thats what Im using after amazon couldnt get the preinstalled prime video app to work for me in ROI.

    Install aptoide
    In aptoide search "prime video"
    Install prime video
    Log in, happy days.

I know this is OT, but will the football matches being televised on Prime only work in Ireland if you have a UK based Firestick? Or is it across all Primes worldwide?
