I was on for a couple of games last night with Shammy, but think it was before the rest of the brds crew arrived. I was actually doing really well in most of the games and boosted my k:d a bit. Then there was a game on Derail when things go real eventfull...

I always Witch on this knife, as there is so much cover and people are either sniping or in the middle building (which lightweight & knife are great for clearing). I normally use Ninja & tac knife, but was running with the commando perk lsat night since I want to get the challenge for it finished. Anyway 6v6 TDM, and I get off to a lovely start. Pred in no time with five unanswered kills. Boom. Triple kill. Out with the harrier. One off the bomb run, and then it picks up another 2 soon after. Chopper Gunner. Just as the harrier is finished, I call it in. I quickly nab a few kills back at the shops where they were respawning, and I'm thinking it's going to be a beastly score.

But then it goes quiet. I'm spinning the gun around trying to find someone. But half their team quit out. :( We were down to 6v3 I think at that stage. I get 2 more assists from the chopper, and it leaves with me on 19:0.

At this stage another on of our friends (Mal) joins session and ends up on the other team. I'm over by the Northwoods, working my way around to the shops to pick up some more kills. I see a red dot in the trees beside me, and go and knife them. It was Mal.

At this point, a RL mate arrives at my front door, with some beers. :) So instead of just leaving midgame, I figure I'll park myself in a hiding spot beside the log cabin in northwoods, and just let the rest of the team finish out for the win, while I get my Flawless achievement for this prestige ending with a score of 20:1. So I take off my headset, and start chatting with my mate. Next thing I see Mal creeping into my hiding spot with his double rangers. I scramble for my controller, but too late. Dead. I was raging!! I should have moved on a bit from where I killed him as I know how people love to Revenge Kill. :D:mad::rolleyes: I picked up the controller to finish the game at this point and finished at something like 23:4. Still a nice score, but could have been a lot better if people hadn't quit and Mal hadn't revenge killed me. (Playing with friends isn't always good!!! :D )

I must get some games in tonight with all you boardsie's, I've a terrible habit of starting to playing after work and then come 9 o'clock my head is fried and I can't keep playing, and thats usually when the fun begins.

Tried to join some of the boards parties last night. Joined into chat plugged in the headset to say hello and .... nothing. Oh well that one doesn't work, no panic. Then I try the other headset and ... also nothing.

I ended up leaving the party all in the space of 10 seconds and no doubt looking very foolish to give the brother an earful for breaking both headsets!

I'm getting a headset this week and the brother is to keep well away from it!

I did. . . but then I had to settle curiosity and make sure I didn't miss anyone by going through 9 more pages

Not everyone I play with uses a headset. Having said that though I would highly recommend getting one asap :)

They're great for big parties of players you know

BTW Funny you should mention the headset, I was saying to some of the lads from here last night that I'd start a thread petition to get you a headset :D:D

Great craic last night playing demolition, largely successful all night :pac:

Riot shield and blast shield = beast!

Highlight of the night - cooking a frag, throw through a door from an angle that was soo fecking tight, which rolled under the stairs at B in Quarry... triple kill!

Had a good first session with some boardsies last night. Was stuck against them for the first match and we got hockeyed playing domination in scrapyard! The boards side were wound up by a canuck calling them english so they had plenty of motivation!

Enjoyed the domination game in afghan so much as I was being a right pr**k placing claymores at and A & B. "We're losing Alpha!" Boom! Also got a lovely predator triple kill on A.

I did get slaughtered by Ross and his dual shotties so I have room for improvement. Trying to capture B in Skidrow is a nightmare. I'd manage to kill 3 defenders then a fourth would just knife you in the back. Pure mayhem in that corridor. :D

I haven't added every one's gamertag yet but will do so shortly. Looking forward to next one. Maybe try a big team battle of boardsies only?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,278 ✭✭✭x43r0

Good times last night, I was playing better than usual. One game of team tactical we played on carnival I think, I had a 27-14 kd where the other 3 lads were on 35 deaths and less kills.

Bad times: we did get raped on one or two games

I think that flag and the B flag in Rundown and Crash are the hardest flags to cap in the game, with Crash being a pita. So it's key to get them at the start. If you do, you get to build your lead pretty quickly, and can usually lock in the win early on.

The maps that are layed out in a straight line, result in the middle flag always being the battleground. It's practically impossible to hold an A&C flag combo for long because you'll spawn away from one. So B is always key.

In the maps where it's a triangle, it's a matter of trying to get the two closest to each other, such as A & B on Afghan. That makes it easier to defend them.

But on the flip side, if you do get the B flag in a straight line map, then those are where you can spawn trap most effectively. Highrise being the best example possibly.

Yes, I recall Ross asking where it was and 3 or 4 of us legging it over! :D

Also, I think you (or maybe Ross) called in a care-package at one stage and, having just killed an enemy there I thought it was his...as soon as I saw it was green I legged it away to avoid someone's wrath on here. :pac:

haha, robbing some1's care package is probably the best craic you can have in mw2, i always giggle like a little girl when i nick some1's, its even funnier when they're on your team and its an AC130 or chopper lol.

:pac::pac: I was joking about that. I don't mind if any of you guys take it but when it's a pr1ck on the team that has 1 kill and 54 deaths, then it becomes a problem.

If i'm not near it in future by all means take it, at least i know you guys are able to use it effectively.:D

That was TopDawgKilla. I seemed to be on the other team most of the night. He was behind the corrugated at the containers.

I have some sympathy for them - when you're playing a proper team on Domination who control 2 of the spawns and you're stuck at A with a bunch of randoms, there's not much you can do.

Fair play to TopDawg, was originally a bit of trash talking but he followed us when we backed out and joined the party. He was keeping track of our wins in his clantag since he joined us (7-0) when I left. :D
