Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

When purchasing the ticket for the final, do you put in 2 adults if it’s for you and a friend? Or are they already accounting for the season ticket holder and want to know how many extra tickets you need for the “Bring a Friend” option?

I don't know but the Bring a Friend option for me just says "No fixtures available yet. Please try again later."
I have an adult & a Juvenile ST. It will only allow me to get 1 match ticket per ST so 2 in total. No option to buy extra.

Is the bring a friend option not for people who's chosen county is competing? Could be wrong, still getting my head around it.

I think you're right. I always understood it that Bring a Friend option is only available if your county are competing in the game.

Tickets available now. Section 406. First time I've been placed somewhere that doesn't start with 30.

Where on earth is 406? Is that the VIP area in the Cusack?

It was formerly the Ard Comhairle area before the Hogan was developed.

Best seats in the Cusack lower by far.

Jammy fecker - I could nearly be linesman where they fecking put me for Sunday.::mad:

I found myself asking the same question. It doesn't appear on any seating chart. After some quick googling i discovered they're actually very good seats. Sweet!

We were there for the Dublin game. The seats even have armrests! It's a quality view. It's essentially the upper bit of 306.

Davin 319 or 320 is all I’m getting now.
Does anyone know if there’s any harm in waiting until Friday to get tickets to see if anything better comes up? Would there be a chance that they’ll say they’re all gone for season ticket holders and tough luck?

Is this for a season ticket holder? Never heard of anyone being allocated seats there before!

304 for me for Sunday. Happy enough, with that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 81 ✭✭westcork67

Just to clarify? - I am a season ticket holder but not for any of the participating teams on Sunday - I got an email saying I was entitled to entry to the Finals on Sunday - when I went to the purchases tab in the season ticket portal it showed the tickets but it had a PURCHASE button - will I be charged for the tickets or do I get them as part of my season ticket? Thanks

Yep. I'm a mayo season ticket holder. Always get something in the 30X sections. Surprised but delighted with my allocation. In a seating group with 6 others who are also equally happy.

Folks complaining about attendance not being recorded despite being at games, losing out on all Ireland tickets because of their mistakes and the refusal of the GAA to resolve any issues. I had to stop listening but I must throw on the podcast later on.

Heard it back on the podcast.
Be interested to see if the gaa come back onto the radio with a reply

Spoke to many Mayo heads about it this season with similar stories. I have season tickets for hurling and football but noticeably have never had a single issue scanning the football ticket (even in McHale this year which I know if known to have caused issues previously).

Have had attendance not recorded for Carlow away in the hurling this season for the hurling and same story (provide proof of being in the ground/receipts for petrol) and still Tickets.ie wouldn't update the attendance.

The system they use is identical to that which they use for Connacht rugby home games but there are never any issues with attendance being updated and the same types of scanners used.

There's a couple of issues regarding scanning, or lack of. In MacHale park there are the self scanning machines at the turnstiles. You need to give them time to reset before scanning your ticket. If you go through too quick it won't register. Similar with the handheld scanners, I think they are scanning them too quick. Its hard in fairness if there's a big Que shortly before throw in with everyone rushing.

card entry for Waterford and Clare/Limerick ST holders for the Walsh Park championship games

Would there be a danger of going over capacity and people might not be left in ???.

Doubt they will all fit in the stand.

    All ticket would be better.

    Hey guys,

I'm just attempting to pay the "bring a friend" option there for the Cork v Tipp, Cork v Limerick and Cork v Waterford games but when I click on "Please Select Payment Card", it is giving me no options so I cannot make a payment.

I'm just wondering is it an error on the system or do I have to wait until a certain date to make the payment?

    Thanks in advance.

Is your ST for one of those competing counties?

Yes you have to wait. You can only do it ( usually) the Monday/Tuesday before the game. Usually when they send the email of how to gain entry to the ground the details of bring a friend will be included in the mail.

It's the Cork Hurling Season Ticket I have, so it is for all the relevant Cork Munster Round Robin games I'm seeking the "bring a friend" option for. I'm a first time ST holder so I am not sure how and when they distribute the tickets.

From emailing the GAA Season Ticket Office, they basically explained to me the payment procedure which is fine but when I click "Please Select Payment Card", the only option on the drop down menu is "Please Select Payment Card" which basically gives me no option to progress with the payment.

Should I be able to pursue with the "bring a friend" option or do I have to wait until the week of the game to do so, as Dicey said?

Did you get an email from season tickets last week with details for your games. I’m from limerick and it said we can only use/buy bring a friend up to midnight on the 5th of May for the cork game. Your own ticket usually comes on my tickets section to print on week of each match. Watch out for bring a friend too as on your own you’ll be close to half way line but bring a friend could move you to another part of stand not as good. I don’t know what is wrong with your bring a friend not working....check your bank card details by clicking on cork season tickets under product description to make sure the card expiry date isn’t up.

Thanks Greensoup. I got sorted in the end. I checked my bank account details on the homepage of my ST account and my bank card details weren't on it. I assumed I had. Problem solved anyway.

I got "bring a friend" tickets for Cork V Tipp and Cork v Waterford. Tickets aren't bad, between the 45 and 21 which isnt bad at all. Cork v Limerick Bring a Friend Section are sold out.

Good to here. I was thinking it would be something to do with bank card alright. Enjoy games, should be a great month of hurling.

Sorry new to this too...trying to bring a friend to the Wexford v Dublin and Wexford v Galway but when I choose the option it states no fixtures available. I presume I have to wait then?

I’ve used bring a friend multiple times.

The cut off is Sunday so he can't wait until the Mon/Tues before game.
Mine is there now in a drop down menu including the Cork Waterford game which isn't played until June 8th but has next Sunday as cut off to purchase which is difficult enough as its hard to say this well in advance exactly who will or won't be around that day

  • Registered Users Posts: 34 Teemarie

Thanks, just to let you know there is no bring a friend option for the Leinster hurling championship. I got a reply from my email today, due to excessive demand for tickets and the venue capacity was the reason
