Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone have any experience with somewhere around town that fixes tablet computers? The charging port on mine is broken and I'm looking for somewhere reliable to get it fixed. Thanks.

Dont know about reliable but there is a place across from TKMaxx that offer no fix no fee on computers. Dont know if they do tablets.

Anyone know of anywhere that sells jam jars, or any type of small glass jars in Galway? Only looking about ten so the wholesale places online won't do.

    Thanks!

    Hi everyone!

I'm looking for Haggis in Galway city or county. Anyone seen it for sale anywhere this week?

Just saw it on Sunday in Marks and Spencers. The only place in town that I have seen it. Let us know if it is nice!

Just take note that it only comes in for Burns Night which was during the week so will probably be gone already. Give them a call and they could hold it if any is left.

Anyone know where maternity tights that don't cost 80Euro can be bought???!!! The price of them in some of the maternity boutiques is something shocking, considering that non-maternity tights are only a fiver.

I'd say New Look might even have them when they have a maternity section.

Aldi/Lidl will have some pates premade.

I never had a problem getting hearts/kidneys from butchers for school years ago. I presume you asked rather than just browsed?

Anyone know where I can find a small sheet of brass, 24-30 gauge? A square 25cm on a side should just about do it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,565 ✭✭✭Blue850

Try Pat Rynn Engineering at the docks. They might have brass sheets or off cuts, probably better to call in to the counter than ring.

Glass & Mirror Design, Town Park Centre, Tuam Rd (091)755166 Ring to see if they have what you need.

I cannot recommend them highly enough. They cut stove glass for me for only E24 everywhere else (incl U.K.) was E40-E60.

I have a small electric saw used for cutting wood at home - for the fire; unfortunately it has stopped working, where is the best place to take it so that it can be looked at before I decide if it is worth repairing?

    Thanks in advance.

For a technical text like that secondhand your best bet would be amazon, ebay or thebookdepository. The only place that might have it new even is the NUIG bookshop.
