    Apologies Mewso.

I actually don't have an issue with the vendor, as they dispatch quickly and respond quickly to queries and I try to get my stuff from Irish vendors if possible.

I was just trying to highlight a possible issue with the website which has now been fixed (It wasn't really a security issue as a bad page direction) and to try and remove any confusion about the clearomizers.

    I would recommend them really.
But I posted in the wrong thread and a bit hastily, so apologies.

http://www.thevapourstore.ie/cartomisers/510-dual-coil-cartomiser-xl-1-5ohm/prod_310.html they have the stainless ones

i got 2 boge lr's in the post today, so I can vape while I wait for my replacement lavatube and im actually liking them

flavour is better than the dual coils imo, but obviously vapour is way cooler which is ... not as nice to be honest. decent amount of vapour production though

the needle for my syringe is beyond repair atm so I decided to just use a standard tankless boge. rather than open one of my 3 ohm's I decided to try one of the 2ohm's i'd been using while my lavatube was broken, it's ****ing brilliant on the lavatube
I vape at 5volts and the voltage under load drops to its lowest at 5.1V (2 ohms at 5v is 2.5amps on the dot, lavatube has 2.5amp cut off or thereabouts) so it's vaping beautifully.
now i have to decide whether to get 3ohms or 2ohms in the future.. pain in the balls, but at least if I ever get desperate I know there's an irish supplier who has cartos I can happily use on my LT
    hooray

just found this site online while looking for flavourart resellers

    http://www.toscanamall.com/

romanian site, seems to be very reasonable prices and shipping
they have 50 or 100ml of lychee flavour, 50ml for 17 euro! shipping only 5 euro for 1 bottle, i think under 2kg shipping tends to be 5 euro standard mail

they have a load of different juices and flavour concentrates, prob gona order from them next week so I'll report back here when I get my stuff but thought I'd drop the link in here anyway. looking through their juice list is making my mouth water.

Yeah, there's room for improvement alright.

Still, prices are good though and I'm delighted that the Imist is available from another supplier.

I wonder if they are Imist exclusive or have plans to stock other models?

Don't give up on it try it with one of these with the imist battery. http://www.irishvapers.ie/atomizers/97-ego-t-atomiser.html They are 8 euro a pop and have the imist tank. Ive been using one for the last week or so and I haven't even had to wash it or anything yet. Its been going like a steam train with lovely flavour, plenty of vapor and best throat hit ive got off anything with a 3.7v battery. Its draw isn't as airy either as the imist atty even though its the same tank, I'd nearly go as far as to say there's a near perfect draw out of it. If you do try it let me know how you get on with it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,305 ✭✭✭Green Hornet

The draw on the iMist was too airy for me alright but that was not really a big thing. With mine, I was constantly having to pull down the wick. The replacement one was the same. Kept getting that god forsaken burnt taste.

Might try the T at some stage but might go for a DCT first.

Just curious and I know were in wrong thread to discuss this so will only reply the once in this thread, did you try twisting the tank around about 4 times before using and then wait about 2 minutes before using it to make sure the juice is gone down to the wick. Try priming the atty and wick with a drop of juice as well when setting it up. I had one or two dry hits when the tank was airlocked alright when first got it but my wife and my mother and my neighbour across the road are all using it now and none of them have any wicking issues either and they all do the above method when setting up.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,305 ✭✭✭Green Hornet

Think I tried just about everything! The wick just seemed too loose. Even when I'd pull it down right onto the coil, it would have moved again almost immediately afterwards. I might try your suggestion though just to see.

When I put in the wick I push the part with the metal thing up as far as it will go and there do be only a couple of millimeteres of wick sticking out towards the coil end. I don't think you've to worry about pulling it down onto the coil as the juice should still drip down onto it.

Each item is listed separately (strength and flavour of juice, colour of battery etc.) so there are no drop down menus with options.

I'd like to see some 30ml bottles of liquid listed too.
Great price for the Imist wicks, could afford to use a new one every day (although my current one is still fine after a few weeks of use)

Might place an order for some wicks and a spare atty.

Didnt get it the next day emailed again got no answer. The next day still didnt get it emailed again saying i have to order more juice so i want my money back. He did email back and told me sometimes it happens that it get lost in the post and i just have to wait. I told him im not happy with that and he got really smart with me and RUDE. Best shop are great with there products and price but if you have a problem not so great. I wont ever be using them again.

Its not just paint, though. They call it gunmetal black, and it seems to be a really solid application of colour. Way classier than the silver, imo.

    Loving the iMist system, btw.

Just in case anyone new to the iMist is thinking of ordering just the iMist atomiser from that new site - check first that it includes the three pieces - tank, wick section and atomiser, three pieces in all. The atomiser section would be no use on its own unless you already had the wick section and tank(s).

Also, iMist should supply caps for the tanks so you can carry a few spares / different flavours. At the moment I'm carrying a bottle to refill.....

Not sure what you are ordering, but...

Tbh, if you are starting off, I would stick with www.irishvapers.ie who are well proven and respected here - use coupon code BOARDS for 10% off (NB be careful to put the code on the first cart screen).

Definitely worth your while going for the Black iMist rather than the Silver one, imo. With the 10% off, it will come to €54 rather than €55 from BargainVapour.... (Silver would be €49.50 rather than €45 - but seriously, get the Black one! :D)

Anybody ever dry burn an iMist? I tried mine last night but I spent ages but still didn't get the red coil and was trying not to use up all my battery. I think mine improved a bit after the dry burnish that I did though. Less chemically/burnt taste. I do think it's a lovely piece of kit though. So so easy to clean.

    they can, technically.
but it's a monstrous pain in the tits to get the black sticker off, and then you still have to deal with cleaning all the glue off. it's just not worth it.

still, for tankless carto vaping on a LT, can't go wrong with SR boge's

Why do you say not to use on an Ego battery. Is it because you think they are "too cool" a vape for normal tobacco flavours. I've read elsewhere that that the 2.7 ohm are not great for tobaccon flavour, but work well on fruity / sweet flavours?

2.7ohm cartomiser need a higher voltage than an ego battery to work, the ego battery is approx 3.6 volts, while the 2.7 ohm cartomisers need around the 5 volts to work properly.

a 2.7-3ohm carto will have terrible performance on an ego battery
the resistance is far too high for a 3.7-3.4v ego device. you'll get a tiny amount of vapour, flavour and throat hit.. and it'll feel like you're sucking on an ice cube it's that cold.

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=77582285&postcount=88

there's a chart in this post showing different ohm/volt/watts and such

    --edit

for the tobacco v fruity ones, i think its possible you were reading about high voltage vaping. I have seen people sayy that 2ohm cartos are better for tobaccos at high volts because at a higher voltage, you get more wattage which leads to more throathit and a more "cigarette" like experience, whereas with the 2.7-3ohm cartos the wattage is a bit lower so it's not kicking you in the back of the throat as much.
I just use 3ohms all the time anyway, they give enough throathit and flavour for me with my tobacco juices.. using the 2ohms at higher voltages is a bit much for me

Hi i got the gun metal imist and i must say i should have taken the silver one,
as the gunmetal paint rubbs off/ comes off fairly fast in places.
Its not a deal breaker but worth mentioning...

I don't make a habit of clarifying things for vendors but I did get a request from BargainVapour to clarify the above which on this one occasion I'm willing to do. BargainVapour appear to be selling the 1100mah version. I can't see what version Irish Vapers are selling as the site is down at the moment but is it the 900mah version? This may explain price differences.

I've been using Boge 2.7 -3.0 ohm cartos all weekend, primarily on my Ego 650 battery, but also on a standard 510 battery "for the crack". Here are my findings. On first use, I thought there was something seriously wrong with the new Boge carto, as the taste was awful, even ended up throwing the first one in the bin. BUT, after doing a little research, it seems that I hadn't left the Boge carto long enough to soak up the juice properly. No rule of thumb, but definitely, the longer they are left to soak on first fill the better. I guess the filler material must be fairly dense.

For the past couple of months my day to day vape has been either a DCC or a Smokeymizer, at different resistance so I am used to switching between a hot and a somewhat cooler vape. The 3 ohm Boges do not produce a hot vape but "sucking on an icecube" might be using some literary license, but they do work on on 510 & Ego batteries, and are advertised all over the web as such, but I do note that a lot of vendors and manufacturers describe their use on a standard 3.7 volt battery as "mellow". I find it is a pleasant vape at this voltage, but does perhaps lack the "hit" that I would get from a DCC. I'm also surprised at how well they work on some tobacco flavours, but do think they work better on fruity type flavours. As part of my experimenting, I also tried various juices by dripping on a 510 atomizer and Boge 3.0 ohm and alternating between the two, and in fairness there is a BIG difference in taste. This may be another one of those "horses for courses" discussions.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 23,556 ✭✭✭✭Sir Digby Chicken Caesar

dripping directly onto an atomiser will always give better flavour, it's just messier, fiddlier and you have to carry a bottle around with you at all times. plus you have to drip more juice in after every 3-4 inhales.

i honestly dont understand how you can be happy with a 3ohm carto on an ego battery, it's just awful.

  • Registered Users Posts: 185 ✭✭achieve

Maybe my taste buds are getting hammered? I've been experimenting with lots of different flavours over the weekend, everything from Old Holborn, Chocolate, Golden Virginia, Irish Coffee, Menthol, Apple, Cinnamon and a couple of others I've already forgotten about. Strange really, when I smoked, I ONLY smoked Old Holborn for 27 years, and would drive 40 mile return trip, if my local shop had run out.

But with vaping there is so much choice (too much maybe?) But getting back to Boge 3.0 ohm on a 3.7 volt battery, that's what I'm doing now as I write and it really is pleasant. But to further my research, tomorrrow I will leave the Boges aside for a day, go back to my DCC, and then revert to Boge again on wednesday, and see what I think then.

Maybe it's time for me to try a variable voltage device?

maybe, but if a boge 3ohm is enough for you on an ego battery the more power to you and maybe you're better off not messing with a good thing

    i just think you're insane
