Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Still any figure out any consistency on poached. Graham never disengaged from tackle earlier fir me no attempt to roll. Then Watson is leaning on his elbows not supporting his weight.

F*cking hell. Ditch the maul, lads. It's a mess.

Ulster actually defended really well for that passage. Great line speed, reset well after the half break and kept their shape through multiple phases. Shame they're so inept with the ball.

    Stop. Going. To. The. Maul.

    It isn't working.

    Ulster's maul. Good lord.

    Would Treadwell make any difference?

Likely not, wasn't much better against Leinster. They're just missing Henderson big time as a caller and jumper.

    Put it out you clowns.

Edinburgh very close to a walk off score there. They'll be disappointed with a 5 point lead going into the half I think.

Hard to believe this is a semi-final. Ulster are a shambles at the set piece and not up to much with ball in hand either. Edinburgh on the other hand are just throwing ten sheets to the wind when it comes to discipline.

What were they doing at the end there?!

Edinburgh spurned another walk in. The difference between the sides is one very soft try of a 5m maul.

Ulster will take that scoreline at the break no bother. They've a chance to regroup, get their arses kicked in the shed and a decent bench to introduce.

It's like an audition for who wants to be hammered by Leinster in the final...

Jim Hamilton on Premier Sports saying that Ulster have played really well and that the match definitely feels like a semi final.

I'll have what he's on please.

The real half time talk is what the **** is in that box the two fellas in the background of the premier sports feed are struggling to lug around

Having watched the North vs South game this morning, really eye opening how inaccurate a lot of the passing is in this game... it's night and day from an entertainment point of view.

Obviously that game is miles ahead in terms of talent/skill but those players have basically had a full season before that - with crowds!

The pro14 trophy. They have decided to post it to Leinster.

Cooney subbed off at half time.

Big call if he's not injured. Not that it's unwarranted tho.

Ah Billy... That's about as bad a slice as you'll see

    Edit: and another bad kick...

Alby should have been staring for Munster last season, should be starting for Ulster now.

That kick from Lyttle was phenomenal!

Two stinkers by Burns. Just isn't going to be Ulster's night.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Just hold Van dear Meurwe’s ankle when tackled ... the guy gets up every time, whether held or not. Let him get pinged

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,342 ✭✭✭Locke_Lamora

Lyttle doesn't kick like someone who's made of chocolate. Burns, on the other hand, kicks like someone who's never kicked before.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,223 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

That could be game over. Seen nothing from Ulster in that first half to suggest that'll be able to breach Edinburgh's try line.

Dan McFarland hasn't been afraid to use the bench early.

Are they also piping in indistinguishable tannoy score and sub announcements? :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,223 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    Stockdale absolutely blessed there.

Missed an easy one on one tackle on Edinburgh's line and they nearly scored a counterattack.

Billy Burns can expect a big Christmas present from Stockdale.

    Ulster's tackling is a disgrace

Burns got Stockdale out of a giant hole there

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Ugh. Just mistake after mistake. No need for AB to throw that offload. Just remain patient. There's 30 minutes left. Take a bloody drop goal even. Ulster in full panic mode, slinging crazy passes like there's 5 minutes left.

Stockdale completely shamed in defence there.

Edinburgh with a ridiculously soft and stupid penalty. Just keep the bloody ball for 10 phases and see what happens.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Stockdale can’t tackle. A liability in defence.

Is this a training match or what?

Lovely jink from Lyttle but what was that from Edinburgh defence?!

Game has been completely suididal for last 10 minutes. Just calm the hell down. Edinburgh are 100% there for the taking. Stop giving them simple possession.

Great skills from Coetzee and Lyttle

Glorious finish from Lyttle, but not sure how he tricked the Edinburgh D so easily there.

Awful from Embra. Had a chance to clear and get the ball off the park
