Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think Tesco are €25 so get two and use a spend and save voucher from the paper and you will get them for €20 each

yes tesco are still €25, and the bulmers light is also €25, not sure if that was on offer with the rest before.

    Balls
I’ve made the bulmers in Tesco sound so appealing I’m heading there later to get more, herself has nowhere to stash presents this year with all the cheap drink, the only bargain I didnt like was the coors light 2 boxes for €25, I drank a blast of them the other night and may as well have drank water

Supervalu has 10 off 6 bottles. Their chateauneuf de pape reduce from 30 to 15 so 13.33 a bottle of you get the 6, would normally be 30 a bottle. Great deal, good for Christmas presents or just to have yourself!

They have 2012, 2014 & 2015, anyone know which is the most preferable?

Could hit Dunnes either tomorrow or Saturday with my 25 off 100 voucher, any advice for an all booze spend for small presents?

If any of ya's are near a B&M bargains with an offy in the North - they have 8 cans of Magners for £4.99 so £14.97 for 24. Not bad

Irish Distillers have two sets of 50 ml whiskeys. One is 4 by 50 ml of Greenspot, Redbreast , Johns Lane and Barry Crockett. Usually 35, on special in Dunnes at 30 less your voucher.
Second is 3 by 50 ml Redbreast, 12 yo, Lustau and 15 yo. Usually 25 , on special at 20.

U would get 2 of each set for 75 ! Brilliant for whiskey drinkers as presents and for me (for moderate consumption...50 ml my limit).

Also a great tasting opportunity . Barry Crockett is 250 a bottle and 25+ in a pub to try. Others are 60 ish a bottle except 15 yo Redbreast 90 ish.

    Will be trying over Christmas.

2015 vintage rated 97/100 but not ready to drink yet (I suggest you place it in your cellar for a few years beside your Petrus '57 and your Blue Nun '18)
2012 vintage rated 93/100 and ready to drink last night, so I did and it was quite nice - definitely worth the price. Doesn't have the clout or complex mineral taste of an 'expensive' Chateauneuf, but can't really expect that for that price.
    2014 - don't know, sorry

2012 is excellent, I haven't tried the others yet. I picked up 8 2012 and 4 2015, as mrm mentioned I'll leave these a while. Not sure I've any blue nun to put it with though 🀔

    Good but 440ml cans.

Yes, worth noting that but still good value.
I got some of those in the UK during the year. Interesting that it is exported from Clonmel and sold cheaper over there.

You can go to most places in Europe and pick up a bottle of Irish whiskey cheaper than here, in the low-tax Canaries it's almost a third of the price here.

which is why one should go to the self service, scan everything, get operator to clear the alchohol purchase, then hit finish and pay, then scan voucher on phone, then pay €10 less.

the machine I was at today didn't even bother to ask for a piece of paper into the voucher slot.

AI learning in action - I know he's using voucher that's expired, I know he should be at least putting some form of paper in the slot before I let him pay, but fcuk it, it's Christmas, work away kid have one on me....

Used the paper voucher expired on the 16th plus the picture of the latest one on here to save €20 on a lot of already seriously discounted booze.

Many thanks and Ho Ho Ho......

Got 2 l Smirnoff for €15 each, thanks to the printout voucher shared here*

Raising a toast to all the cheap boozers here.
It tastes so much better when it's below cost :)

*I was going in for groceries anyway, for the pedants who want to dilute my booze discount with groceries!

  • Registered Users Posts: 72 ✭✭d.lally2

Apologies if already posted but ending at 10 pm tonight in Dunnes is 700ml of Hennessy for €25 and 1 litre of Smirnoff for €20. Combine that with any vouchers and they are two serious prices! Drink sensibly ;)

I got a bottle of Jameson caskmate stout edition for €28 in Tesco today, usually about €40. Is reduced in a few places. The IPA one is down to €30 also.

writers tears is apparently lovely, so in the interests of research I bought a bottle today in tesco to try it out. It also came with 2 glasses. reduced from €45 to €35 (add on a few things that you would buy anyway and use the €10 off 45 voucher and hey presto, it's only €25)

    Thanks.
I got into Tesco early today, used the voucher from the other thread.
Picked up the 10 year old Bushmills for €30.
I didn't know writers tears was nice, I might grab it before Xmas.
I also grabbed six bottles of Nikita vodka, great value at €12.99.
Just need to go to Aldi for the clontarf whiskey and I'll be sorted.

Supervalu had the usual Gluehwein for €6 a bottle I think and then have €10 off when you buy 6.
Some Tescos have Zgm Mulled Wine for €5 a bottle.
