Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Just moved into a house with a scopetronic homeguard alarm, seller didnt have d code so alarm was off....set it off accidentally when we turned off electricity...now it says its armed, it doesn't go off buy it beeps loudly 4 times every time you open the front door....found the user manual on boards(**,) but need the master reset code....anyway of getting this or do you have to ring the people who installed the alarm? Looks like it was installed a good few years ago.

    Any help is greatly appreciated,

Does anyone have the book for the astec s80 system? We bought the house and the codes did not come with the house. I just finished replacing the battery today, and need to find out how to reset the system to default settings. Once it's reset I have to reprogram the system again. I'm hoping the book has all this information in it. At the moment no error codes are displaying, but the red alarm led is lit. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Respectfully,
    Chris

    Hi All,

Just joined Boards.ie to engage in this thread.

Just moved into a house with an Aritech CS450 alarm system. I want to remove the panic button from the bedroom wall to sink the wires into the plaster and to paper the wall.

I put the alarm into my previous house so am comfortable with the process but it would help if I had a copy of the installation manual and the engineer code for this problem any any subsequent one. Can anyone help?

    Kenno

Should be straight forward to do. When you open the panic button the alarm will activate, enter your user code to turn the alarm off. Take note of how it is wired and connect it back up when you have the work done. You could even connect the resistors across the cable end so you can still use the alarm. I would not recommend defaulting the panel just to do this.
