Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No one uses inches or cm in Ireland lads just use feet

So when people say 5 ft 10... what’s the measurement used for the 10? Based on your above statement... just wondering :)

    Normal? Ewwwwwww!

    So is your face.

Expectation? If I ever get a boob job its for me not for some guys expectation lol.

And about heels I wear heels all the time never go above a 4 inch though.

I just never want them. 34 D and still defying gravity is fine for me.

With regard to heels normally 5'5" so works for me.

But riddle me this, why would a woman not consider having a toe-enlargening operation?

All else being normal or average, why do the most popular cosmetic surgeries focus on outward appearance, that which is visible to others?

If it is about visibility to others, then isn't it for the sake of other people and not yourself?

Of course it may make a person feel better about themselves, but isn't it primarily derived from the comfort of what other people think?

Is cosmetic surgery ever really about "yourself"?

    Nail on the head.

People dress up and get plastic surgery so that they feel better about themselves. But that validation is based on how OTHER people see them. "I feel great right now because I look amazing!"

These people aren't putting on makeup and heels when sitting at home alone watching netflix. They are doing it in public. They know that other people will see them looking good and its a confidence boost....and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It's a natural response.

But the denial and mental gymnastics that some people go through so as not to appear vain is ridiculous. Call a spade a spade.

"I don't dress up for anyone else. It's about confidence! I do it for myself". Well of course you do it for yourself. Who else would you be doing it for? You are the one beneffiting from it. But the benefit comes from knowing how good you look to the world. How they see you.

Love at the end of a sentence you getting touchy, Id imagine all men scare you. But be brave hopefully when you get out of isolation their might be a big tall man waiting for you. Hopefully he has a good sense of humour too. I think he'll probably need it.

Are you a teenager? If not, you're past the girl stage.

I'm 6'2, 30 years old with a good job. Based in Dublin. Fairly good looking, half Irish, half Dutch. 5'10 would be my ideal height for a woman. I also love rock and have a massive........

Hatred of anyone over using "lol".

C'mon everyone, stop the hate and the bullying FFS.

The thread is fun and we are just wondering where all the tall guys are.

Do you think it's nice for someone to post personal attacks on Disney and I on this thread? Do people actually get their kicks out of that? Posters had to be banned because of their own selfishness and ignorance.

Fair play Disney, you started a thread and out of nowhere sprung all the short men, seeming to be somehow offended or whatever their beef is? I don't know, I'm short myself FFS.

The irony of all this Disney is that we looked for the tall guys and ended up finding where all the short guys are!!!!

    GROW UP.... No pun intended

I know plenty of tall guys in Ireland. I have a good few friends ranging from 6'0 to 6'4 so no idea where you've been looking OP?

But yes I do agree that it can be difficult for tall girls to find taller guys, well guys who are tall enough to the tall girls to wear high heels.

Oh here we go, a conspiracy theorist. Yawn.

    FFS this is ridiculous.

Some posters here obviously did not see the vile posts up here earlier.

Guy thinks putting up a video of a small woman is going to offend me? No, I was more offended that you put up a video of 'Friends'...a lame excuse for a sitcom

And no that's not vile, that's just petty.

Earlier posts were absolutely full of hate and vitriol.

Anyway, we shall continue our search for the tall guys.

Kilkenny still on top, thus far.

I don't think there is anyone on this thread that has a problem wearing heals. So it's not that.

What about transsexual guys though, it must be a nightmare for them.

This thread has essentially been hijacked by short men, ignorant people, bullies and tyrants. So, could you all move onto another thread please, unless you have anything valid or pertinent to say in relation to this small but interesting survey regarding TALL GUYS IN IRELAND.

So, for the sake of the OP and her thread and my quest to assist her, the following are the top Counties in Ireland with tall men that we compiled from our very limited study. In addition, the study itself was contaminated with some useless input from guys not even in the 'Tall Category'

    KILKENNY
    CORK
    KERRY
    LIMERICK
    DUBLIN

Although, I don't know how statically valid DUBLIN is as we had only one tall guy there.

Well, the most infuriating thing for me right now is they have hijacked the thread and tried to sabotage our quest to find the tall guys of Ireland.

Thanks to the tall guys who actually did contribute. Much kudos to you.

Let the search continue. Kilkenny still on top, but I'm sure we'll here from plenty of other tall guys going forward.

The "statistics" reported here are self proclaimed heights and anecdotal accounts. I think we need to apply a margin of error here of +/- 20%.

I once saw a tall man shopping in B&Q. That suggests that tall men shop there, maybe start there? The lamps and the MDF displays really seemed to pique his interest.

I'm 7'9 and reared up outside a barn in Roosky. It didn't buckle, but the Azerbaijan basketball team saw the audition tape and sent a telegram of congratulations.

Of tall guys, a third might be unemployed (80% now), a third might be lanky, a third might be facially unattractive, a third might be overweight etc. When these are excluded there might be only 5% or so of actual tall, attractive guys in the population. This is why there is a perceived scarcity, there’s plenty of average tall guys around.

When girls see 6’ 2” on paper, they instantly picture an athletic, confident business manager. They don’t picture a lanky, nerdy, socially awkward guy of which will be far more common.

Another reason you might struggle to get a tall guy is because these guys have a preference for smaller women to make them feel more masculine and dominant. It’s quite superficial and illogical but no more so than “He has to be bigger than me in heels for pictures”. If you judge guys superficially expect the same in return.
