OP, what height are you in cm?

They think that 5.9 foot is the same as 5'9"
    That's where the confusion is.

What's the fascination with 6ft when even in the Netherlands the average height of a man is under that.

No it's not the average Dutch male height is 6 foot and having been there 4 times I can tell ya they're all massive ! ( in height and looks)

No one uses inches or cm in Ireland lads just use feet

    Hiding

I think I honestly need to move to the Netherlands at this stage lol. I'm 5'10 and 27 and I've never dated anyone over 6 foot. *Cries in Spanish*

Any girls know any tall lads who are into rock music and you know are nice lol

Are you hot and do you have big tits/ass?

First they came for the socialists...

I worked over there for a while, at 6’3” I was average? The feckin urinals are higher over there

I'm going to assume that such a specific website probably has its info in order. Or not.

So now you can all fascinate yourselves for hours :)

But is't that confusing not using inches, someone who is 5'9 would be 5.75 inches

Currently cm is used in sports and science, where accuracy is needed. In the future everyone will use cm since we are a fully metric country and that's all they teach in schools.

The lad on the left is one big f*cker and the lad on the right, well, no one's as tall as s church spire now are they?!

    We weren't born yesterday.

The guy on the left is 5'9, guy on the right is 6'1, according to online profiles.

Did you see the couple on 'operation transformation? She wanted a tall man and put on a dating site 'must be at least six foot three'. After that, she only got genuine replies

Homelander is correct - 'I'm six foot' is not a .... promise of success.

Check your heightism  that is like I, as a racist saying all africans are below average intelligence or all asians have small dicks and that is just not the case! You have a preference that is all.

Which seems to transcend the superficial into something more grounded; and substantial like looks so let’s not be trying to rock the boat here...

As tall as a church spire?
No, that's 1 Horse Guards Road. An administration building for the UK goverment.
    So it's actually fairly believable.

I don't get it either. Now I get the preference for someone taller than or as tall as you (just like I think in general men would prefer women not being taller than them) but a specific height? I'm under 5 ft 5. I wear medium heels. Therefore 5 ft 7 is grand and tall imo. Baffles me when it's described as short.

My underlings report that the average height of a man in the Netherlands is 5ft11, while in ireland it is 5ft10.5

    Not exactly a big difference.

But using a percentile calculation, it puts 93/94% of all men in Europe as a whole to be shorter. That's wild, something I've never paid much attention to only for this pandemic boredom and thread.

Do they not pile sh-te higher in the nederlands than they do here

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,983 ✭✭✭✭tuxy

Yes it's a preference some women still have and made perfect sense in the past.

But couldn't a shorter man provide just as much protection using today's technology?

Money is probably the best security a man can provide for a woman and her offspring.

Because a lot of people don't realise that being very tall likely means that you'll be quite slim too. It's very difficult to build and maintain any real degree of upper body strength, especially as you get older. I find smaller men tend to have an easier time in building up their bodies... and a lot of women lean towards muscles. You're also likely to develop a curved spine from looking down on people all the time, and compensating for the height difference. Annoys me that everyone can look up my nose too. :pac:

I have a high metabolism in addition to being tall.. so I'm a telephone poll. :D

Tall, skinny, and I wasn't successful with women until I was older (early 30s). But then, I find western women place an inordinate amount of importance on physical attractiveness.. whereas abroad, while it's still important, other things can make up for the lack.

I like my men 5'10" or above but not over 6 feet.
    Just my preference.
And before you ask no Im not fat/ugly/fake boobs.
Im pretty normal in fact :D

It's not so much about protection within this life, but also reproductive protection.

Money can come and go, but plopping out ubermenschen has some in-built guarantees.

It's interesting how evolutionary triggers exhibit themselves in everyday interactions, watching eye dilations and certain characteristics respond to certain characteristics. Reading people on the fly.

    Money always helps though!

Maybe you need a toyboy Disneylover. Wiki has Irish men average of 5' 9 1/2" between 20 and 49 but another survey of 18 year olds is 5' 10 1/2"

Definitely notice the younger generation are getting taller. I'm 5'11" and my son is getting close to me and he is 11 (missus is 5'11" also)

Theres nothing wrong with fake boobs though.. I don't have them but people seem to think fake boobs make women less attractive lol

Fair enough I suppose but why so specific? Is it to match your own height?

It prob is to match my own height. I like to look up but not have a crick. Im 5'6 so I can comfortably wear heels. I just dont find men over 6' attractive never have. Same as I personally dont like other characteristic traits.

The lack of diddy bounce in the fake ones is a problem.

That's just the current popular onion and it will change again in time and boob jobs will once again become popular.

Although wanting to change something about a perfectly functioning body is probably a form of body dismorphia.

    No but they distort expectation.
Normal boobs dont stand up and perky like real ones but they jiggle like they are meant to.

    I like the word foobs.

Perkiness is only a matter of time. First thing in the morning? Full of up-and-at-'em, generally more alert and aware of their environment, playful and excited, nipples seeking out ways to expend energy pent up over night. Come evening, though? They wane and droop and have no time for anything, just wanting to go back to bed to recuperate. Pooped.

Much like puppies. In fact, I'm talking about puppies.
