Realistically we weren’t expecting them last Friday so not really! Friday is usually the first day and then others have gone out the following Wednesday’s thursdays and Friday’s (sometimes)

Hi Guys,

I am from the 2017 campaign and I am still waiting to be called, have completed 2 medicals as my one from 2017 expired. Every time I call HR i am getting told that vetting is still outstanding. Has anyone ever been told by HR that their vetting is completed or do they just keep saying its pending until you get an offer ?

Vetting coming back is like a stage in itself.. once it’s back you’ll either be waiting for a final decision from senior staff or you’ll be “pending appointment” which is waiting for an offer until the next round of offers go out.

When asked, they’ll tell you when your vetting is back

Its not true in every case. Friend of mine rang on a friday morning for the last intake in July and was told that morning he had vetting outstanding, then that evening he recieved an offer

Yea I done my medical in june so was hoping for this intake but if vetting not done i be a long wait Id say..

I got an offer yesterday evening at 6:20pm. To start 11th. Your just agitated because u havnt got an offer which is understandable. But I didnt get a chance to post up on it because I was to busy. Anymore info pm me

I don't know how accurate it is but someone on the garda stage 4 2018 thread has said the offers on Friday 27th were already 2nd round offers. Highly sceptical that 1st round come be completed so promptly at such an early stage from November.

i wouldnt mind HR saying that your vetting is still outstanding i know someone who emailed them one morning and they replied within a minute saying it was outstanding and then that evening they got an offer. i think they just get so many emails they just say its outstanding

I received an offer yesterday morning for November intake. Starting 18th of November for induction week.

I had mine the end of March. I was fully convinced I'd get an offer for November but starting to think I'll be waiting another few months.

March ! I would have thought you’d have gotten an offer for July and at the very least the first round of offers for November ? Have you contacted HR ?

Surely it couldn’t be your vetting still at this stage .

I know, I'm going out of my mind at this stage. I emailed them and they said vetting outstanding.
