Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

TM voucher arrived on Monday but not cheque. Will give them another while as they said 28 days for that.

Anyone been to the darts this week? Just wondering what kind of seats are assigned if any?

Went on Sunday and seats were shiiiite. Third last table from the wall. Not much of a crowd so we moved in.

In saying that, they were totally unprepared for the sky tickets so we may have gotten the first remaining tickets they had to hand.

And you collect the tickets there and then? What time should you arrive at do you think ?

We picked them up just inside the door after tickets were scanned so had to ask the ticket checkers to go to the table to the right to collect tickets. As an FYI they're not at the Ticketmaster van in case you think they're there.

We probably got there at around 6.45 and strolled in, there was no queue so I wouldn't worry. Get there for 6.45 and you've plenty of time to get settled and get drinks before the first match kicks off.

Metallica tickets at the o2 in london on the app now. The gigs are this sunday and Tuesday. Might suit someone.....

Has anyone else who had nfl tickets still not got their refund?

I've queried this by pm through the sky agent on boards and through email but the last email reply I got was over 3 weeks ago.

When this first got cancelled I thought sky handled it superbly, the phone call and the free sky sports. The lack of communication since in regards the flight refund is appaling though.
I mean, a reply to an email is just basic customer service. If they replied and said it'll be 2 more weeks, that's fine. But ignoring emails is poor.

Is anyone else waiting as I'm going to ring about it this week and it'd be handy to know if others have been refunded.

You would be better dealing with the guys on boards. They are much quicker in their replies plus they don't want any negative shadow over their new vip program.

Yeah I've posted on that section and pm' d one of the reps from sky on boards. They're looking into it for me. I'd rather sort it through private mails so will give them a bit longer.
It's been with them a week now though. (Boards rep, 6 weeks in total with sky)
    Hopefully get something sorted soon.

Just log in to my sky and the offer should be there. Make sure you're signed up to sky vip.

Have you just signed up the VIP and you used the welcome voucher on those movies?

.....they don't want any negative shadow over their new vip program.

With so many of the offers being for UK events, I think they are doing a fairly decent job of that themselves !

    Thanks,

    G.

No, we've been signed up for a while, we got the new spiderman movie a few months ago too.

That's strange. I don't actually use the app myself, the wife does all that. Last night she just logged in and the offer was there. The only other thing we got was the spiderman movie, and we're on a half price deal also so pleasantly surprised.

I couldn’t see it on sky vip app but I logged into sky store and when I selected war for the planet of the apes the offer was there to get it for €0.00.

Same here unfortunately, it seems you have to pre-order the brand new film to get older one for free.

    What's the brand new film?
We just watched War of the Planet of the Apes and we got another free, not sure which one tbh.

That’s weird. I selected the new film (War) and it had an option to buy and keep it and Dawn for €0.00. Both ready to send to the sky box straight away

Was it The Amazing Spiderman or Spiderman Homecoming you got?

There were two offers available the last few months
Sky VIP Welcome Gift - choose any DVD (up to €16.99) for free; this was available as a reward for people signing up to their new sky rewards programme; once redeemed it waited on your account until you picked a DVD you wanted; some chose to use their voucher when they got it weeks ago; I only used mine last week to order. Something I wanted 😀 Maybe it was this you used to get Planet of the apes?

Then weeks later an offer was on to get The Amazing Spiderman (both digital and the DVD posted to you) This as far as I know was available to everyone with a skystore account (this offer wasn't tied to the Sky VIP programme) it was listed as an offer to try out the 'buy and keep' method they use to sell their items

Sorry for the long post :) This might clear up the mystery of the two free DVDs :)

Hmmm... i think you’re right. I never entered the sky vip code so assumed the planet of the apes deal was a separate offer. But it seems that sky automatically applied the sky vip offer to my account so that’s why it showed up as free. Bit annoying!

Got The Amazing Spiderman a while back so probably wasn't limited to vip only.
Planet of the Apes was on sky vip. As I said it's the wife that deals with it so I wasn't sure how we got them free.

    Thanks.

    Side note:
    Additional info
Having a ticket does not guarantee entry. Not everyone who is successful in getting tickets will go to the screening, so we have to over-issue more tickets by a percentage to compensate for these no-shows. This makes sure we have a full audience.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,184 ✭✭✭rameire

looks like the structure of the way you apply for tickets is changing.
you enter a lottery for tickets.
2 that have changed or maybe they are specials.
are premier league football tickets and Pro14 tickets.

Got this in an email about how they are improving it:

You can only book one set of first come, first served tickets per calendar month, subject to availability. There are also limits to the number of tickets you can book for each sport throughout each series or season. For example, you can only enter the ballot to win one set of football tickets per league, per season.

Simply go to your My Sky app to take part.
    ---

    No Show Policy

To be fair to everyone, if members fail to show up to booked events, we reserve the right to restrict their access to future events.

I upgraded to the free sky go extra from within the VIP section.
Is it not free forever now?
Can't see anywhere to say I will be charged eventually?

Condition 5 - to continue receiving the reward, you must continue to pay the monthly cost of your sub......so looks like it’s valid as long as you stay with sky under that sub
