There's been a bunch of young lads robbed in my area by the same gang, or a similar one. What's going to happen here? As much gang wars that we've had in our recent history, I've never seen this type of gang just going from place to place on the DART every week robbing people. Never ever had this type of hassle in my area until the last 12 months, now I'm wondering if I should even carry on with my plans to look into buying property. If this continues to get worse, I don't want to live in a place that I feel uncomfortable with my kids walking around or being alone. And it seems there's no sentiment to actually sorting it out or bringing attention to it.

Actually worried about the future of this place. I'm not sure if I'm being dramatic or not.

Because they consist of people of colour, simple as that. Had it been an all white group it would be all over the place, and they'll say we got a neo-nazi/far right issue. :rolleyes:

Just a heads up to anyone who wants to continue this discussion; the usual contingent will be along (and you know who they are) who will try to disrupt the thread in the hope of getting it shut down.
They hate hearing anything negative about the non-traditional groups that we have in Ireland, and they will do everything in their power to stop us having a discussion about these gangs. This includes baiting, name calling, etc.
My advice is to the ignore those who carry out those antics; otherwise the thread will be locked.

When threads starting appearing on Boards about gangs in North County Dublin, it was noticable how certain posters around here starting crawling all over them labeling people as racists, trying to be their usual smart asses and trying to make it all into a joke.

These posters are usually the same ones lambasting people for being phobic, racists, alt righters just because they highlight where this society is going and because they don't buy into the shyteology being pushed.

And these posters are of the same ilk as most in the Irish media.
They fooking had a fit when Peter Casey opened his mouth and they immediately went into overdrive to try destroy him.

To show bad Irish media is even that talentless bint on that dancing show invented a fictitious conversation with Casey to try blacken his name and up her standing amongst the right on media types.

But a good chunk of the Irish electorate saw through it and that caused some of the media and the like minded ones around here to go apoplectic.

Well it is getting worse and at some stage someone is going to be killed by these gangs.

And sooner or later ordinary people are going to start fighting back.

Our most dangerous enemy is not from without, but from within.

Seems Fingal County Cpuncil has a public consultation on ' migrants ' in the fingal area - maybe a solution would be to propose that no form of rent allowance or council /government subsidied housing be given to anyone whose children or who themselces have been brought to the attention of the council or garda for antisocial behaviour. Maybe a petition for the bought 'citizenship' to be revokable for antisocial patterns of behaviour or criminal - including juvenile - convictions. They downplay the incident, omit important details (allegedly brought the kid to a car park and beat him senseless..repeatedly) and minimise the story.

I’m as angry at these scumbags as anyone but there’s too much misplaced anger here too.
We had scum doing this long before African immigrants arrived and there’s plenty of white paddys attacking people too.
I hope they take a revenge hiding, end up in prison and parents fined on top but not because they are African. They are scum bags who just happen to be African Irish.
Plenty of hard working decent African families here who don’t deserve the hate from this thread aimed at them.

Ditto for the 80's. This lot seem more organised and more numerous in size of groups. That I didn't see. Their "colour" will throw up another issue and unrelated to anything inherent to skin tone and that's a certain blindness to it that we're already seeing. Again this can be seen in other countries with second generation ethnic populations. Usually what happened historically is that authorities and media did focus on such populations, even directly profiled same and automatically assumed criminal because of the level of tan or lack thereof. Which was stupid. When that stupidity was acknowledged it went the other way and often too far the other way where authorities and media turned a blind eye, even ignored criminal activity. Which was equally stupid. There needs to be a happy medium. The UK has a load of examples of both those historical and current policies. Ireland went straight to the latter nothing to see here approach. We've long seen this in regard to Traveller crime and now it seems it's being applied to ethnic crime.
