Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I know how you feel. The whole lot crossed over me and basically nothing fell. Maybe 5mm. :(
But does it look like something is forming off the coast on the sat24 images, or is it just me :)

which probably will give the city nothing. i know the drill

96 fm are reporting snow in north Cork ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 125 ✭✭oicherider

And the results from North Mayo..

1-2 inchs of snow overnight, turning sleety now tho

Went out to get turf from back of house and thought the wife was throwing snow balls at me from upstairs velux window.. It was the snow on the window thawing and slipping off the roof :D

Particularly funny cause I thougt she had lost it opening the window with a 1 month old baby in the room!!

No overnight snow in Donabate. Very very cold though, definitely a freeze of what fell yesterday. Conditions are treacherous, so bad we even had a line on AA Roadwatch!!! :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,080 ✭✭✭homolumo

Can confirm that it got down to -7.7c in Waterford City at 07.40. Thats a record low temp for here :D Surely we can only get snow when the front arrives.

    More Detail @ www.waterfordcityweather.com

Yeah noticed that too! Thanks for all the info on the site Mick. It has been great having a look at what is like in town as well. I have been on refresh for the last week now. I am hoping to get a Davis in the near future.

It Doesn't look too positive for much snow in the south east... The band of presip seems to be breaking uP before it reaches this side

this front coming across looks very narrow to me. i assume the front is going to stall. otherwise it will be a small affair!

If this doesn't break up, Dublin could be in for a plastering, probably only last 2-3 hours though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 290 ✭✭outsourced_ire

Still thinking about it in Cork - am out by CIT.

  • Registered Users Posts: 52 ✭✭irishharper

Loads of snow after falling here in limerick, the sky looks like there's a lot more snow yet to fall!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,373 ✭✭✭Dr Galen

even 2-3 hours would be enough to cause chaos. Its already pretty mental out there really.

On a positive note, it would also bring more snow, and more snow = moar iglooz

morning, getting to sleep in wth no schools open. No (or very little) snow in west wicklow overnight but its all frozen and chrunchy out there sun just rising over mountains amazing colours in clear sky.

2 or 3 hours of that my be better than the intermittent streamers we got from the east with the IOM in mind... :o

Its not going to be like the streamer last night but given the mental amount of snow already maybe thats just as well! I wonder will thee be flooding problems as this melts.
