Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

raining here in Dunshaughlin but it's fairly light.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,682 ✭✭✭Rougies

Wouldn't surprise me to see it turn in far S Dublin for few hours this evening whilst wind is offshore, will readily turn to rain once the easterly picks up from the 14 degree seas.

Dundrum/Tallaght possibly down to Leop and Donnybrook could get a few flakes depending on precip intensity.

Wind is already onshore. As of 14:00 reports Casement E , Dublin SE

yep wind is south-east. Highest temperatures at the moment north Wicklow, Dublin, Meath and Louth. The main area for sleet and snow seems west of the Wicklow mountains away from the coast over Carlow and Kilkenny.

2:00 reports show cork airport at 5 degrees, down to 3 at half 2. Waiting to see what the 3 will be

edit: still 3 degrees. 2 degrees of a drop in half an hour though is a lot. Needless the fire is lit and heating is on

Edit: Spoke too soon, it just suddenly dropped 0.6 and it's getting dark real quick

It will /may (havent analysed too closely) go west or variable for a few hours this evening and that'll be the small window for shleeet.

Great to see a pic of snow. It makes the thread worth it.

Inconsistent rainfall rates here in Dublin 5, sometimes it turns very heavy and a few seconds later it nearly stops before intensifying again and so on.

Suppose to ease off about 8 but i would make sure you could get very wet and cold before the Run in the Dark.

Can't link individual traffic cameras, but can see on https://www.tiitraffic.ie/cams/ snow starting to settle to sides/verges of M9 in Carlow.

Meanwhile heavy rain now in Dublin 16. 5.5c atm.

Absolutely hosing it down. Roughly 1 mile from Casement

pouring rain here at Dunshaughlin, I doubt we will see any snow, SE wind keeping temperatures up too much. Looking at the netweather radar, there is very little snow anywhere apart from parts of the Wicklow Mountains.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,064 ✭✭✭sicknotexi

Wet snow in Monasterevin for last hour. At one stage was milling down and sticking. Easing off now.

Just drove the M7 from Portlaoise to Tallaght. Snowing in Portlaoise with sticking on the grass around J16. Sleet up to J13 then rain the rest of the way. Temperatures rose from 1c at Portlaoise to 3c at J14 to 6c at J3 and back to 5c in Tallaght (Car thermometer) 3pm to 4pm roughly

Good to see Ireland getting its first snow in the 1st half of November. Still very early in the season and hopefully a sign of things to come

Awesome stuff, very jealous of those in the snowy spots, its utterly bucketing down rain here, got drowned collecting the kids from school. Warm and snug with the woodstove lit though now :)
